The Redneck wrote:all the security guards around on the construction sites here know my license plate and name. they don't ever call the cops though. i had to run from a bronco police guy one time while mudding through some off limit area. i went around a hole and he went through it and got stuck. other than that one time, i've never really been bothered.

i DO get a lot of crap AFTER mudding though. truck doesn't have mud flaps and all the crap comes off the back end.

hate to say it, Redneck, but that makes you almost as much of a disrespectful ass hole as the people who think the streets are their own personal race track. Why would I want my shiny new freshly cleaned paint ruined and chipped from some ass hole who just got done mudding and doesn't see anything wrong with flinging that @!#$ all over everyone else on the road?

I got 32x11.50 Super Swampers on my Rodeo and goes most places the bigger rigs cant. I am a huge fan of the sami's, there a few people in my local offroad club that roll sami's and there great. not bad for little 4 cyl with straight axles. I love to go sling a little mud in my 4 wheel drive and drag it all into town.!!!

My parents used to have Troopers back in the 80's all the way up to late 95 when My dad picked up a 96 K1500. They had 3 in a row (2 at a time) and the newest one was a 88. Just a 4 cylinder, first one had a carb and the other 2 were fuel injected, but were unstopable in 4 lo.

A ranch I did a few hunting trips on in Texas used old Willys and had a Samuari as well. Awesome vehicles in sand.

In Namibia we rode around in a Toyota Hilux. Once again it went any place you could imagine.

Willys again in Australia. Got one stuck for a little while because the creek banks were steeper and closer together then expected. Kinda hard to move when the bumpers are what is keeping the vehicle off the ground.

We have a ton of mudders up here, but no one takes them off the streets. Bunch of posers. I think my old wagon saw more mud than any trucks up here. Still does, being a farmer's car and all.

hell, half the reason i bought my truck was because i hated driving past trails in my cavalier and wondering what was on the other side of the bushes.

i can't imagine what i'd get in to if i was 4x4
