oh joe i think ur being to hard on the paint. it looks pretty good. im sure with some rubbing... any issues under emblems could be made to look cream.

3000 grit and a nice buffer with some compound didn't touch it.
Eh, it'll be cleaned up when I visit back home though this Spring.

Unless you're paying to have each panel repainted it isn't happening if this didn't do it.
I like the door emblems, hell I might just raise them up, or stick them on my mirror if discussion of them continues .

Heh, I have more than 12 stages of compounds sitting here. Pretty sure the staging process would eliminate the problem.
Also I have new car glaze & others that recondition the paint as well during the buffing/polishing/sealing process.
Better to try & fail, than not try at all? eh?

It went into a local bodyshop to have the above performed, it wasn't a Pep Boys visit and a parking lot exercise. Fading is underneath the clear, no compound will cure that. I'd rather not try at all, than remove my emblems and have more ghost outlines. My bowtie I gladly live with, it's actually kinda baller looking.
This is a useless argument anyhow, I don't want to remove them . This car will never be a show-car, my red electrical tape spoiler shave job brings me such pride knowing I could do such and not care. Hell it might never ever be properly done. My bumper still might have that gouge in it too next year. Oh well.
Finally I can enjoy something for what it is versus having it be a burden.

LOL thanks for the above compliments.
It hasn't been repainted, I never said that, I said the fading is below the clear.
