People like you are pathetic man. Seriously they started somewhere no so good, but as of late they are putting a LOT of effort into making kick ass cars. And their prices are still better than the big ego Jap cars that are actually falling off more in quality and just leaning on their reputation to sell their cars.
I'm pathetic for hating Hyundai's based on my (first-hand) bad experience with them? Based on their poor resell value and (at least in the past) unavailability of basic parts like rotors? You seriously need to get off your high horse...
Anyone considering a fat overweight genesis over a Z car of any year is a idiot... end thread.
Nevermind... the huge wing on the cav in your sig explains it all.
stick with the genesis you dont deserve to drive a nissan.
LMAO. I'm on a high horse for calling you out on generalizing a manufacturer based on their OLDER cars that are nothing like what they have done in recent years? And then this snot nosed dip@!#$ comes in saying the kid doesn't "deserve" to drive a Nissan? Seriously????? Wow guy. Grow the @!#$ up(1800cc).
On the other hand....you have other fingers.

Well, if the shoe fits... Just out of curiosity, since you don't even
own a Hyundai, what makes you such an authority on their stellar quality? Are you a Hyundai service tech? Or are you just reciting what you've read in magazines?
I've talked to some of the tech's at Fucillo Hyundai through casual encounters and they uniformly joke about how they'd never buy one (a Hyundai) for their own use. I also don't feel that an '04 Tiburon is all that "OLD" as you would say. Neither is a 2004 Accent and 2005 Elantra. Resale value? Lol...yeah; I probably don't even need to go there.

Made in Korea... Or should I say Owned by Korea, built in the u.s.a. even worse.
Now come back down to planet earth. When you actually compare the two 370z, and genesis coupe, there is no comparison. The 370 is probaly the best z car yet. And your trying to compare the genisis to a Company with over 40 years of racing heritage and R&D. The z rapes the car in every catagory including resale. nuff said.
I didn't say it was a better car, but it's not complete crap like Chris is trying to say. The Z is definitely a more stable and i guess refined car fit and finish wise. but the price reflects that as well. I don't think comparing the 2 is fair at all. FAR different vehicles.
And Chris, to answer you, I have actually been in a couple 2010 Hyundai's. One of which was a fully loaded Genesis sedan and I actually feel Hyundai's late models are worlds ahead of even where they were in 05. I never likd the Tibby's though, so can't say I have ever been in one. Except one I worked on way back when the big eyed one's were only a couple years old. THAT Hyundai was a complete pile of @!#$ that I never want to touch again.

by "big eyed" i meant "bug eyed" meaning the real short goofy curvy ones with the little round headlights.

i test drove the 2.0t when they first came out. it was a auto and i didnt find it to be anything great. getting on the highway they tranny got stuck in gear and the rpms stayed at 4th then it finally shift i got it to 80mph and it didnt feel all the quick. the inside is a joke. its so small i have no clue who would ever fit in that car.
My step dad owns a 2nd gen Tibby and it is a fun ride. I would take my GT over it though any day tbh... but that could be partially cause his is an auto.

They are not really FAR different vehichles... both are about the same size, rwd and v6's. the genesis backseat is about as usefull as a s13's. so the initial buyer is not really worried about rear leg room... or a rear seat at all for that matter. Aftermarket support for the genesis will never be what the z has now. And resale on any korean car is crap. The last i checked a base 370z is about the same price as a nicely equiped v6 genesis. Wich would you rather have?
