Here is my progress thread for the GXP.

Weekend test run.

Home after taking owner ship of it, gave it a nice bath and removed and dealer advertising and front license plate bracket.

Bought some new parts to install on it today.

looks great man! although... since you took the front plate off i cant help but barf in my mouth a little bit over gm's obnoxious long ass front 'pontiac' grilles up front. LOL

id say for a future endeavor a newer front G6 bumper with the smaller grilles is in order. did they make a GXP with the smaller vents?

exhaust is going to be sweet. keep up the good work.

I am going to keep the GXP, while it took me a while I am liking the bucktoothed look that the grilles give.

that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra
scary to me. There's a large, out-of-focus monster, roaming the countryside.

Me too. And just with the front license plate bracket gone its 100 times better. I mentioned this in your other thread but you need to get a pic of that sexy interior. I sat in one at a local used dealer and i was like... OMG! lmfao. The GXP seats were tits.

I will get a good interior shot after I give it a propper cleaning inside.

Was the GXP hood and spoiler an option? Because yours doesnt have one.

Either way I like it a lot. I've wanted one ever since they first came out.

my guess it was something similar to the SCT grand am gt's of years past. they got the different spoiler and scooped hood as well...

Yeah it's a street appearance package, it's the hammer head spoiler and hood. I am trying to track down a hood though, it's around $600 for the hood through GM then paint.

Flat black the plastic part around the muffler / lower bumper would look awesome.

I am getting the 09.5 spoiler which angles up a lil more but it's still the same style as the one I have now.

that spoiler isn't bad. will most likely look better on urs cause its the gxp! jbo approved. lmao

that spoiler was one of the absolute best things GM could have ever done for the G6.

thats why i wanted it for my car. doesnt have the same effect on cav though.

It was posted in the other thread that the car was a lemon.

I want to see some finished pics of the exhaust. I might use this setup on my Aura.

I'm not going to have any other carbon fiber on the car so I would say that it would be out of place.

But looking so fly... ....like a G6!!!!

Re: 2009 Pontiac G6 GXP Progress thread

Not bad. I think the grilles would look better if they were matte black. I also agree with Scotty B in that the piece on the lower rear bumper would look better black, although matte black, not flat black.

What are your plans for it besides the exhaust?

Not completely sure yet. I just don't want to start throwing things at it. I am trying to take a slow conservative approach at the car and plan things out.
