couldn't find a shorter one...

I work on Wall Street, but didn't force you to take out a loan you couldn't afford.

Blew a radiator hose on sunday night and didn't get a chance to take any pics before that. But, I had a great weekend driving it around. It sure gets a lot of smiles. Probably because people are laughing at a 6'5" 225 pound guy with a sleeve driving a girls car but I love it.

So it's currently waiting for a new hose and I got this from the ups man today.

I'm hoping to get started on it tonight after work. I need to go pick up the new radiator hose and get that all taken care of first. Then I'm hoping to get started on the suspension. The car is currently in the air with the wheels off and the bolts have been soaked with some JB-80. So, lets hope that will make them come out nicely.

Sucks about the radiator hose but not a biggy.

And I can't wait to see those lowerers installed.

Thanks. I just came in from pulling the first strut and attempted to install the coilover only to find out i ordered the wrong coilovers. I got the mk2 ones but I need the mk1 coilovers.

I did get the radiator hose put It and have put a few miles on it and its been really fun.

Now to want for the right low.

Wrong low being returned, right low has been ordered.

More waiting.

Finally got it done last night.

I still have about 3/4" in the rear and about 1/2" in the front I could go down. I don't think I'll be going any lower though. There's a pretty serious negative camber issue on the front left that I have to adjust so it doesn't rub on the rim/tire but other than that everything is great. Except the turning radius is greatly reduced.

Only drove it a few blocks last night and got a few strange looks and some big smiles. I love my tiny slow car.

More pics this weekend.

badass. and i agree that it needs better rims

Different wheels are in the works.

I don't want to go with anything "new" looking and I'm not going over the stock size of 14. It's a tiny car and anything over that looks silly to me. I've found a set of BBS Mahle (Mesh type) wheels from an '82 BMW on Craigslist that I'm probably going to pick up tomorrow. They're 13's. They need tires, some cleaning, polishing and maybe paint so it won't be anytime soon

I like the drop. Looks real good. New rims will definitely look better.

New wheels. Test fitted and I need a spacers for the front. They hit the calipers.

I think they should look pretty tight.

Just picked up some tires in 165/50/13. They're so tiny. Going to get them mounted tomorrow and just ordered some 5mm spacers for the front.

So, it should be mobile again soon.

I don't know if cool or tough was ever a look you wanted, but that car sucked both of those dry.... You look and sound happy though and that's why we build cars. But man you look goofy driving that little girls car

I obviously don't get cars to try and look cool/tough as I have had a cavalier as a DD for the last 7 years. I am very happy with it but, I'd be happier if I could spend more time driving it and less time under it.

Agreed. You need to hit up 1552 and grab some in 16's.
