I was wondering if you got it in the garage before the snow. We has a couple light flurries today.
That looks really good. Any idea what kinda rubber you're gonna go with?
Factory Michelin's remain on it this year, next season I've thought of the Hankook RS3's quite a bit. Not in the budget this year unfortunately.
wagon is looking great!
might check out Federal's 595 rs-r. a few guys ran them this year @ autox and they are a pretty sticky tire for the price. I know one of the guys in our region was running right with his competition that were running the s3's.
I was hoping when I saw you reply in was some tire related knowledge! Good looking out, will do
.
Thanks Spencer!
17 days till registration for wmhm, you coming?
It's 10 mins away, so I'll be there, competing, no. Those are diehard Honda guys, I'd find my HHR offensive!
when i priced the Federals vs. the Hankook's, I can put 2 sets on the car for the same money as one set of the Hankooks.
(now I will stress I have not personally driven both tires, have only ridden in cars equipped with such and compared times between two drivers at this year's autox events)
That opinion is good enough, not looking to be highly competitive. Just to have some fun and stick while doing it.
We had the one snowfall Friday and since it's been clear, actually raining now. I dropped my PCM off @ ZZP today so hell I might get it out and rack some miles on the new parts and tune this weekend. I'm really only concerned about storing it away from the salt and @!#$ conditions, no problem pulling it out to cure my boost addiction. Actually it's needed right now.
yep i agree joe. its not the cold weather and winter persay that you wanna keep from the car its the "oh crap i just ran into a 4 foot drift and ripped my front bumper off" or the "oh crap i slid to far and bent my rim" or even the "oh crap my car was brand new last year and now i can put my foot through the floor board" momments you try and avoid.
Come join us over on the Olds Quad 4 and Twin Cam Facebook group!
ZZP reflashed the PCM within time, took it out for an hour or so tonight and hooned, good times, can't wait for this Spring
.
U ran over a family of smurfs! lol. I still thinks it needs matching SS badges.
I wasn't sure about them in those night shots....but in the daylight- I like em'!
Leave them just the way they are.....
