Not true.
You can get 300whp on stock motor.
Just a tune will get you around 225whp. Then add supporting mods.
I would never get a V6 mustang, or Camaro over this car. Now a 350z, yeah would be a close race. I really like the 350z. If it is a HR 350z at least.

IMO the 'ohhhh, ahhhhh's' you'd get for the new genesis wouldnt be worth it. id much rather dump that kind of cash into something a few years older. but.. thats just me. some people enjoy the looks of this thing, i have no idea how.. it looks like a ninja turtle LOL

Coming from a GM person those 3 cars are ugly as sin compared to anything!!! I belive (but could be wrong) the Genesis is a better handling car.
I would never get the V6 version. If I wanted to get a V6 it would be a HR 350z, or I would just get a LS based V8.

haha thats true!^^
As far as the RX-8 I don't mind them at all, however out here the starting price is 41,000. Too much for me! The more I'm looking at different cars the more I'm agreeing with the idea of buying something thats 1 or 2 years old to save some cash!

oldskool wrote:You're entitled to your opinion of course, but in this price class, the V6 mustang especially is very competitive albeit bigger. When you consider a fully loaded 3.8 track genesis, you're almost in V8 territory with the mustang/camaro, maybe 5k short at most.
I'm not denying that hyundai has come a long way, or that the genesis coupe is a competent performer, i just feel there are a lot of options that are more well rounded and proven.
