This was going to be my next project, but with an LS2. Problem is Rx-7's are too expensive to buy and so are LS2's...

Thats why you go LQ9 with LS3 heads, intake, and aftermarket cam. LQ9 is a 6.0 out of a truck. The block is identical in every way to an LS2 only its iron. It weights 60lbs more. Full LQ9 long block can be had for 1100 with low mileage vs a few grand easy for an LS2. Save money and more power. For just as much money if not less you can do .030 over pistons and a 4.00" crank and have a 6.7L 408.
