i have a friend he has 1991 grand am with the 2.3 quad not the high output one he broke the throttle cable and cant find a replacment one for it what can we do
next question is how do you remove the rev limiter on that car thanks you for the help
Junk yard for the cable, dime a dozen... and there is no need to remove or alter the rev limiter unlesd tgr motor is built for it.
not around us we have called that y i posted asking hee need to remove the revlimter cause he race the car in what we call mini stock or hornets and he hit revlimiter little more than half way down the straight away it is a auto and cant put in drive its a dog
Well thats about your best bet for a cable.. and if your motor isnt built for higher rpms raising the rev limiter will spin bearings/ blow the motor or any number of other issues. Try changing tire sizes, either bigger or smaller will change your speed in the top end of second gear and/or help it out in drive/3rd. Check the racing section for more info.
