The block and heads are correct (with some work done to them of course) but as you mentioned everything has been replaced.

So its not a 100% numbers matching car.

The SBC 350 LT1 was rated at 330 HP and 360 lb/ft of torque in 1971, but in 1972 they went to SAE measurements so it was rated with all the accessories on it, hence the output dropped, but it was the exact same engine as the previous year. The previous owner told me it was built to the stock specs. But id like to get it on a dyno to see what it actually is putting out.

I can vouche that it can easily do 0-60 MPH in about 7 seconds.

Soo....I finally got around to getting an appraisal done on the vehicle this past weekend while at a show n shine. I am very pleased with the outcome and quite shocked at the actual value of my 1972 Corvette Stingray LT1 considering what I paid for it and put into it, I more than doubled my money!! I knew when I bought it that it was a very desirable collectible being a mostly original LT1 4-speed car and after doing some research on it I found out how rare it was being a matching #'s corvette, not to mention it will continue to hold or increase in value.

Asking Price: $17,900.00
Purchase Price: $16,900.00
Cost to get it to pass an Out-of-Province Inspection: $3,500.00
Appraised Value: $43,658.00
The smile on my face while driving it......PRICELESS!!!!!

You'd be surprised at what some Vette's are priced at and what some people will pay for them.

The appraisal shows what the car is actually worth, it is worth more than most cuz of the nature of it and how rare it is, but I will probably never get that for it if I ever decided to sell it. In the end it really depends on what people are willing to pay. I could probably easily get $30K for it considering other ads I have seen online when I was shopping around for one.

Just to give you a comparison....I used to have a fully restored 1969 Chevrolet C/10 pickup which was appraised at just under $30K and I sold it to buy my Vette. I orignally listed it at $20K o.b.o. and I got offers ranging from $8K-$12K for it but that was too low for me. I eventually dropped my asking price to $16,500 o.b.o. when a gentleman came across my ad on kijiji and wanted it, he asked me what my lowest price would be, and we settled on $15K for it. Even though I had a lil more than that into it.

The appraiser used the Nada Guides, another online collector car guide comparison, and several "For Sale" advertisements for similar corvettes along with a rating system for everything on the car, as well as, taking into account all the options on it and accessories that have been added to it, to come up with the appriased value. There is no other way around it, that's basically how most go about doing it.
