The car needs a new owner. It's getting to be in need of a new trans. Aparently the trans is only rated for up to 280lbs of tq. I would assume at the flywheel, and with bolt ons that makes the car go beyond it's limit I would say and well now the car is randomly slipping in between gear changes. It will do it under partial or WOT..........

Return to stock and take it in!

There isn't really anything that can void the warranty, I am thinking it's not the trans now as much as the stock tune. The car drives fine on the street with no issues.

How can you say "The trans can't handle extra torque, I added extra torque........There's nothing that can void the warranty" Go tell the techs at the dealership that when you bring it in for warranty work. They'll laugh.

There is a air intake and exhaust on the car, if they can really say that me adding those 2 things caused the transmission to fail then good for them.

they will though.. unless they are gm sanctioned parts that says 'covered under factory warranty' etc.

easy fix, put the stock stuff back on.

Can't sway exhaust as it's welded right after the cat to the factory piping. The intake can be swapped back but thats about it.

swap the intake and see what they say. it's worth a shot... but you admitted that you added enough torque the first post you made about the trans??

I'm assuming, I doubt that there is that much and more less over exadurating. I have read the trans is rated for 280 lbs of tq, I have also seen that the car stock has made anywhere from 251tq-261tq. So I don't really know if it's made that much power or not? Some of that post was in frustration.

So I something with a more aggressive offset and wider. I was thinking 19x9.5 +35 possibly and maybe run my +5mm spacers in the rear.

Trans hasn't really given me anymore issues recently. I need to stop being lazy though and get it in for the trans lines and the axle seal though.

So went to the track friday night in the GXP, best pass of the night was a 14.4 @ 97 with a 2.25 60ft. Here is a vid of me making a solo pass which was a 14.5.

Nice video, planning on getting a tune?

I am back and forth on getting a tune. I want a tune but I don't want any warranty issues either. I just got a set of Canuck springs to lower it more, and I am also pricing and piecing together a set of brembo's from a cobalt ss/tc.

Tune it, your trans will be fine, all the guys on g6p are a little to anal about GM's power ratings for the transmissions. If and when you do tune it are you going to go with the WAMS tune or find someone with HPTuners?

I am having it dynotuned. G6P is crazy how they nut swing over a couple sponsors on the website and thats all.

Here is my new 09.5 spoiler painted and installed. I have new springs which will be here tomorrow close up the gap some more. Then it's time to save for a hood and 20's.
