2000 Civic SiR coupe
Friday, February 11, 2005 11:02 PM
I finally got some pics up of my new car. Hasn't been driven much lately, so i decided to take it out for a quick cruise, and then gave it a bath before going back in the garage. It will be lowered for when it comes back out, so I'm looking forward to that.
let me know what you guys think.... I'm debating on whether or not to get the SiR spoiler. The car came with the lower Si spoiler. The previous owner was sayin that the SiR wing was too high for him cause it blocked his view out the rearview, so he had it changed. oh well, what can ya do.

check it out...

Later.

Looks good, real clean I like it. You got any plans for it? I say keep it stock on the outside. Go all motor under the hood. Big bore kit, cams, cam gears, valves. Get that sucker to redline at like 11grand =P

The previous owner prolly sold the original SiR spoiler on e-bay, haha. They go for a decent amount.

ya the si spoiler isnt that high at all, almost identical to the civic ex 01+ spoilers. he probably just sold it or traded it for that one and cash.

Does the civic SiR still use the b16? Also I heard that it was toned down just a hair then the B16 they used in the 99-00 Si here in america. Is that true?

Hey guys, thanks for the comments. I'm always open to suggestions and feedback so keep it coming.

DevilSi : your car is supa clean. looks real tight. I'm sure i will have some questions regarding this car so thanks for the offer.

Red Assassin : seems we have the same taste in mods. lowered with a badgeless grill is all this car needs on the exterior. it's got a nice 35% tint all around too.

for now, the intake will keep me happy. i'm just going to enjoy this car for what it is and how it drives. it really is an awesome car in terms of driveability. i think the combination of tight gear ratios and plenty of RPM's to play with makes it a true joy to drive. a header and exhaust will be further down the line only because i would rather enjoy the sound of the VTEC honkin with the shorty intake on there, you just can't beat that induction sound. music to my ears i tell ya. but future plans are in the makin......

All motor.......1st step will be top-end

Toda or Skunk2 stg.II cams, upgraded valve springs, along with the cam gears. the valves will remain stock for the time being until the head is sent away next winter for the P&P job my friends dad will be doing for me. but like i said, i'm just happy for the time being with the car being stock.

thanks again,

Lates.

I'd say sleeper it... I love the 99-00 Si's so I love you 99-00 SiRs.

Get that running like a raped ape and make it a black stelthy sleeper...

Hmmm

yea guys, no worries.

'sleeper' is my middle name.... hahah. those are the cars that i'm down with.

i read that on the B16, one of the biggest 'bottlenecks' for robbing hp is the stock exhaust manifold, so i'm going to order up a 4-2-1 header in the next week or two. i don't mind running the stock exhaust for the time being, but will definitely get tossed eventually

can't wait til the track opens up though thats for sure.

oh, and to answer RedAssassin.......the B16A2 is identical for Canada and the U.S. for the 99 - 00 Si/SiR. 160hp @ 7600 and 111 ft lbs of torque(if you wanna call it that)lol. just jokin.
