Ok well today I was out in my drive messing around putting in my new subs I got and I went to go take my car around the block and I look at the corner and there was a brand new 2005 Mustang well I pulled out of my drive and there was mud on my tires so the spun a little andd then the guy in his mustang floored his car and spun his tires around the corner so I sped up and caught him well he tried to take off again and he got a little ahead and I downshifted into 4th gear nd gained sme speed and caught up and he tried to pull away but he couldnt. Then I come home and I find out that Ford only put a 4.6L in their V8. What a wonderful day besides it started to snow again

I'd take a New Stang over a 10 year old camaro. But Id take a GTO over a new mustang. But funny stuff.

sorry i don't like fords i had to put 20g's in the rear end and the 3.8L motors are @!#$ my mom went threw 2 and she drives 20 under the speed limit and plus i love comaro's

yea 20g's thats what i said and thats what the dealer would of chagred but she had a warranty and i don't care about 25 ho more it's a ford .....but i give them props they circle there problem...and the 3.8L are @!#$ but the V8 are ok
I find this hard to believe unless u have serious mods, either that or the mustang couldnt drive/ or was just not racing. LT1's arent saying much either for a 5.7L.

no just the rear diff went out like it was @!#$ up ...i dunno if the dealer tried to screw her ower or what but that had to be replaced

The 8.8 in the Mustang is a hell of a lot better than the 10 bolt in the Camaro, not to mention the '05's have 31 spline axles. The first of the reflashed PCM's have come out, times are in the 13.1 range at 106+ with just this on stock tires. It will not be too long before the reflashed Mustangs are running in the 12's on street tires with no other mods. I hate the styling, but when the drive by wire is defeated the 3 valve engine really shines, and you have to remember, it's the base model V-8
lt1 manual is a low 14 sec car
ive seen one of the reflashed stangs runnig low thirteens
bs on the 12's on street tires w/ no other mods
and it wont be too long before they all start to break
if i may chime in...
i think the 04 mustangs looked better than the new ones..

No BS about it, all it is going to take is a good driver. It will happen, and it's going to happen soon. And what makes you think they are going to break from a 93 octane tune?

Can you say Torque? my 96' Z28 BONE stock ran 14.0's at 98mph with a ton of wheelspin, and thats an AUTO. I now have a 430HP LT4 kit.

All in all id MUCH rather buy my 9 year old Z28 with 20K on the ticker for around 8G's then buy a 30K mustang and run the same times. You do the math.

Ford's V-8 is the base model. It's a simple matter of corporate policy why they did not simply offer it with a better state of tune, one is the C.A.F.E. standards (Ford sells way more Mustangs than G.M. did F-bodies) demands that the Mustang get decent gas mileage. Ford readily offered the aftermarket the OBD V program codes and it is already being used even though the car has already been out a few months. Who cares about a GTO being faster than the base model GT? Let's compare it when the Mach I and Cobra get here as they will be very close in price. The GT is already smoking the GTO with under $1,000 in mods, so the value just in that, and the fact that it is the hottest car in America right now, make it a better value in my opinion.
Almost forgot, that 400 HP Vette is not running any better times than the C-5, it suffers from the same drive by wire gremlins that saddle the '05 Mustang.
