You guys are rediculous, I post a thread to get opinions on the Cobalt SS, and you start fighting like litte girls. For god sake grow the hell up.
As for choosing the SRT-4 over the Cobalt, faster yes, but i think if you don't like the Cobalt interior, the SRT-4 is disgustingly cheap inside. IMO.
lol and i definitly wouldn't go for a WRX wagon, I haven't been in the new WRX's but my buddy has an 03 and has more problems than I do with my Cavalier, which kinda sucks considering how "unreliable" everyone says the Cavalier is. lol
There's no reason why we can't disagree like adults, quit the name calling, and grow up.
If you don't like the Cobalt then fine, put your opinions on the board, and i'll tell you why I think you're wrong, that's what a discussion is....congradulations you've graduated the 3rd grade.
I saw a black Cobalt SS a few weeks ago out driving around. It wasn't too bad looking actually, I don't think the pictures did it much justice.
Not bad, but I think I like my Cavalier more
I love how Mr. Good wrench gets hell for stating his own opinion. Seems that just becasue he doesn't like something about the car, which is his opinion, he gets all types of hell for. Its his damn opinion Jesus Christ people lol get over it, its not like his opinion is going to effect what you think or anyone else thinks about the car. Damn
But it is a nice looking car. I haven't seen the inside in person to comment on it, but from the pictures i've seen it looks nice. I like its looks exterior wise.

And a cavalier is not a sports car. LOL
The SS name was reserved for real top of the line performance cars i wouldn't call a cavalier or a cobalt anything close to a top of the line performance car and not top of the line luxury just top of the line in performance and look at all the original SS cars they all had like 300 plus horse power these news cars aren't even close
Mr.Goodwrench- I wouldn't even waste your time. Some people on this site don't take the time to look outside the box!
a cobalt ss would smoke most of the SS's from back in the day even though they had a larger engine, Some of the new SS's i do not agree and feel as though Chevy is flaunting the name to much, for example none of these should be SS's... Malibu SS and a Monti Carlo SS or Impala SS none of which can even get out of the 15's stock and the last true SS besides the cobalt was the Camaro SS and thats dead
i believe in mho the Cobalt SS to be true SS based on the fact of its pure performance, how many other GM cars can hit 14.5 stock in a 1/4 mile and give high end cars a run for there money on the twisties, not to mention all for 20k, GM could have done better with this car but you still cant Deni all these facts
The cobalt is just gonna be another cavalier. Unreliable hunk of metal, cept faster.

Haha yea too bad it would smoke the @!#$ out of your rice burning Celica. You act pretty tough for a guy that owns a girl's car. The Cobalt is in a completely different league than the Cavalier, its retarded to even compare them to each other in regards to quality and integrity.

Look outside the box? That clown is the one who proclaimed the Cobalt to be a bad car before it was even out. He's hated the Cobalt all along, and theres nothing anyone can do to change that. His views are tainted, and nothing he says in regards to the car should be taken as credible in any way. Theres always a fault or problem with it, and any chance he gets he attempts to make the car look bad.
So much for "thinking outside the box"

Could not have said it any better myself. Just cause it has 300 hp don't mean it's fast. LOL

I'm guessing you guys haven't driven a big block...so I won't even waste my time...
And I wouldn't waste time comparing it to a cavalier...not even the same car,,expect
on the "compact" level...

I was at the local GM dealership(Abbotsford,BC,Canada) today to hammer down a price on the options I would want in one and he said that they have 10 on order and they would be arriving in april. Whenever they come in I'm supposed to be getting a call to go for a test drive.

I heard late March from my local dealership (Surrey, B.C, Canada) so that seems about right.
Chevy seems to slap a SS badge on anything now days just to sell and make money off it and forgot about its orginal roots.
