for instance ... the Import Fighter kit for the cavalier ... why would somebody get that ... maybe because it has a huge opening on the front so the intercooler will get all the air it needs. A stock J-body front with an intercooler ... lol ... you are losing air that is needed for your J.

This show's just how little you know about cars, no offense.

True older cars always hold a better place due to the fact that anyone can buy a new car and fix it up but if you have a rare old clean bodied matching numbers car, that's hard to duplicate.

But for you to say that the 04-05 GTO is a waste of money that is the stupidist thing I've heard all year.

Looks aside ( look at the cavalier to begin with, you make it what you want it) open the book and read the pages and you'll be surpised. This car has the build quality of a BMW, the car is so refined and tight, and the interior is flawless. The chassis is a very great handling chassis that has won many races in Australia and the rest of the world. You did know that the car was made in australia right?

Factor in the 400 HP C6 Vette Ls2 engine in the 05's, with two great transmission options, all for a high 29, low 30k price range is the deal of the year.

Even more so for the 2004 GTO. I've seen 04's going for 21k new. It still has the C5 Ls1 motor (which now has an abundance of aftermarket support), and only lacks the bigger breaks, 50 HP, and new hood and rear bumper. New cobalt SS"s go for more than that it's a joke to me. This car handles and if you ever drove one you'd be amazed how light the car feels on it's feet given it's size.

Just my .02, I don't know how you can call it a waste of money that's all. Just look at the options.

rk sport 2003: well i shouldnt have said it like that......what i mainly pertaining to is the exterior of the car. i like the car , but personally wouldnt buy one. gm should have given it a more distinctive design,,BUT its a great car for the $. and yes i know enough about cars to know whats classical and whats not.....see my father has a 55 chevy bel air with 2door post and a 1969 gto (judge couresel orange) ram air iv model...so yes i know im really not knockin the car mechanically wise , just the exterior, maybe if they refined the exterior to some how immulate its heritage then YES i would deffinately own one, but for now i will wait and see. good luck with yours

i just got an '04 GTO in January and can't say enough about this car. People that don't have one seem to want it to have a retro look but that is exactly what i love about this car. Its going in its own direction with styling. Everyone else is doing retro and you see them everyday at every corner. I'll take my sleeper looking GOAT anyday over anything out there. Drive it once and you will be hooked.
