Are you sure they were 2005's? I'm thinking they were the leftover 2004's like mine.. I wouldn't think they would take $10,000+ off of a car that just came out.

I wrote on something on this respect months ago that GM did not want to do rebates, because they wanted to sell/move cars on merit not on rebate.
As of now GM is offering
Cobalt: $1000 rebate or 3.0% finance
The SS: $0 rebate or 5.9% finance
This is untill March 31, 2005
Latest reports show that the G6, Cobalt, LaCrosse are creating "little buzz" and sales are not what GM expected. Which is why I think GM is now offering rebates.

I remember when the Evo first came out it was marked up around 8,000 here...the 350Z was about 6,000 markup at launch. They think it's supply/demand...let's see what happens when they don't get half the demand they expect.
