And for the record "riceboy", I didn't get the motor mount to "put down more power", you idiot. From the factory the 2.2 has about 4 inches of play in the motor mounts, which is really annoying. So I ordered the mount to tighten things up. Got a problem with that?

6.Drive to the highest point in the Smokey mountains.

um yes the 240 is far superior to the slobalt ss, stock its underpowered, but the chassis brakes and everything esle is lightyears ahead of the hobalt. and its 15 years older

I was thinking about that too, but if you think about what GM did, they dropped the Cavalier nameplate for a good reason.... here's my thoughts....
Half way through the 2002 model year they released the ecotec. This was GM's first hand at giving the Cavalier and Sunfire alittle edge in the sport compact market. In 04 they gave them a short throw shifter right out the show room floor. These attempts were to try to "rejuvinate" the J-body into the sport compact market and to compete with brands like Toyota and Honda.
Even though the Cav and Sunfire have decent hp and torque they're still considered "Just Cavalier's" and "Just Sunfire's" We get it all the time as J-body owners.... If i had a quarter for everytime i heard "Dude you drive a Cavalier" I'd be rich.
So because the new engine and transmission in the J-bodies didn't help GM's entry into the Sport Compact Market (enough) they decided that the only option they had left was to drop the name. If you think about it, the basic lay out of the car is the same, same engine, same transmission, same style, same size. Different name, and everyone has to admit, the build quality on the Cobalt leaves the Cavalier in the dust.
Chrysler did the opposite, they turboed a Neon, and look how many people say "It's still a Neon." I know I've heard quite a few.... Just think how much more they could have sold if they would have just called it the SRT-4 from the start and didn't build it off the Neon?
Just my thoughts... I love my Cavalier, but I have to admit that this Cobalt is alot nicer. When I'm ready to purchase my next vehicle the Cobalt SS/SC will definitly be one of the cars I drive
