With the production SS Supercharged arriving in dealers later this year, GM Performance Division has already been tweaking. Never a group that can leave well enough alone, Performance Division's modus operandi can be clearly seen in the Cobalt SS Supercharged Coupe. This vehicle was created to demonstrate the potential for street performance. The subtle exterior treatment of this show vehicle cloaks a host of engineering upgrades that yield significant improvements in acceleration and handling. Horsepower hits 270, larger brakes spin at the ready, and a lowered suspension steadies the chassis. Carbon fiber cues hint at the performance potential of this complete package.

- Supercharged and intercooled 2.0L engine producing 270 horsepower
- Functional fresh air intake integrated into hood

- Low-restriction exhaust system from the catalyst rearward

The wing and scoop defenitely has to go. It looks to ricey. I prefer of the look of the Z24 over that anyday.

I agree that the hood scoop looks kinda dumb, but You can't change the location of it...it's functional, and goes directly into the airbox before the supercharger....moving it would lose performance, unlike some of the dumb ass hoods that people put on there car aftermarket, you can't always have the scoop directly in the center of the hood. The wing is alittle bit much but I don't hate it.
And if you do alittle research, there really isn't too much done to that Cobalt that can't be done to a regular SS S/C. If you reflash the PCM you can get 16psi out of the SC instead of the stock 12, it also increases the redline to 7K, which moves you from 205 HP to 270HP, all with a simple reflash. SO for those of you that say a Cobalt will never compete with the Evo's, STi's, and SRT-4's, I'm sorry, you are mistaking
