"Class"- i.e. as in race class
- As in, cars that actually have a chance in hell of competing versus each other in a sanctioned event
- as in, "the eco and evo motors ARE in the same race class"
-as in, the two 2.0-2.2 4cylinder motors are direct competitors in a plethora of events
The LS7 and evo will never be in the same race class, they will never face each other. Honestly do you guys also compare Top fuel versus F1 cars?
Actually dsms have run 9.3 in awd with no spray and 7.3 no spray in rwd .And hundreds of dsms have 10s and 11s without nitrous.

the eco is lighter and can make just as much if not more power
aka engine and car can be made much faster spending the $$$ on the motor instead of swapping all of the parts from an evo which would cost an insane amount of $$$ and time

dude...just buy a dsm.... for what it would cost you alone to swap an engine, you could go out buy a 1ga or 1gb tsi, drop a biult 6 bolt 4g63t, 4 bolt rear end, shep racing tranny, ba$tard 20g turbo, and all your supporting mods for less than what it would cost to do that swap and have the J . then you'll be spankin C6's, Vipers, and Euro trash all day long.
