I have to agree. And I can't believe you sold your nice cavy for a cobalt. Could have just supercharged yours. Or even better, Turbocharge it.. The cavy looks better than that thing anyday of the week. I can't wait till some kid around here buys one so I can hand him his defeat in a nicely modified cavy. Go JBO. Lets keep the I sold the cavy for a cobalt post to a minimum please.

I haven't looked at this post in awhile and it's funny but not unusual to see how it turned into anther org. drama fest.

Like I said in the first page, that driver was an idiot and people like him are the people hurting inoccent lives for wrecklesness.

Again I appreciate everyone liking my cav, but again it's time for something different. Look at Cavs stock they are highriders and ugly, but with the right parts you can make it look mean, the cobalt with a lower stance and sweeping fenders has the same effect when lowered. Any car can look good if built right, its not what you drive but how you build it. Hell I could make an aztec look good given the right parts and creative mind.

Im not buying any car until I know it's exactly what I want. Alot of new cars are coming out as well like the saturn sky, I won't buy a car until I know FOR SURE it's the next project I want to undertake.

I still have a nice minivan to drive for as long as it takes me to decide what I want to purchase. I've rushed into buying cars before and regretted it later (cough, cough, Xtreme S10 ) and I don't want to do that this time around.

And I agree, we'll probably be seeing that Cobalt in the junkyard pretty soon.

Some of you guys act as if the J-body is just as good as the Cobalt. Hate to break it to you, but the J-body is a piece of trash compared to the Cobalt, I know from personal experience.

It doesn't matter how fast you make a J-body, it will still just be a J-body, nothing more. It will still have a cheap interior, weak chassis, and crappy build quality and materials that haven't been upgraded since the 80's. Its like saying your turbo 3-cylinder Geo Metro can smoke a GTO - it doesn't matter how fast it is, its still a POS Geo Metro.

I also personally don't see how the Cavalier "looks better" than the Cobalt. Maybe its just me, but I think the Cobalt is a much more attractive design, especially when comparing the 4-door to the 4-door Cavalier. Interiors aren't even comparable, the Cobalt is light-years ahead of the J-body in that department, no matter which model you are comparing.

You act like the Cobalt is a threat to the site - once again, hate to break it to you, but the J-body is dead. After a while there will be no "I just bought a new Cavalier" threads - the Cobalt is the replacement, and a much better one at that. J-bodies don't exactly have the longest life expectancy, so after a while there will be more and more people trading their Cavs and Fires in for Cobalts.

Its just ignorant to pretend that the J-body is in the same league as the Cobalt. You have to start with a good quality car in the first place and build upon that, otherwise its like pissing in the wind. As soon as I have a better job, the Cavalier is being sold for a Cobalt SS S/C, theres just no comparison between the two in terms of performance and quality.
