Better Daily Driver/Beater?

Ok, I am looking to replace my Firenza as my daily driver( planning for engine swap) what would you guys think would make a better daily driver/beater? Here are the cars.

1990 Cavalier 2.2 192000km 5speed kinda rusty though $500 needs clutch.

1992-3 Geo Metro 145000km 1.0 3cyl. 5speed needs nothing $800

1991 Cavalier RS 3.1 V6 228000 auto $300 needs bodywork tires and exhaust.

I am leaning toward the Metro because I had a Sprint and I could run on $10 of gas for three weeks, and thats spinning the tires all the time, letting it bounce off the rev limiter, downshifting into third at 130km/h and lots of OFF ROADING! So I think I will buy that as soon as I can get the money. I am interested in any thoughts or opinions but please keep them constructive(SP?). Thanks for any feedback.

More like so WRONG on so many levels.

But go with the metro........ I wonder how well the sunfire will offroad...... probably has conflicting intrest with my "If its above freezing and not raining then theres not excuse for s dirty car" policy.

Yeah, the Metro is gonna be a go ahead..........................once I get a job, which is gonna be when I graduate this June. Man I ran my old Sprint through hell, it had 293000 hard driven km's on it and it still ran great. It cost me a lot in exhaust repairs due to the off road beatings and running it through 3ft of mud. I ran that car so hard I melted the casing of the O2 sensor. Tires are cheap as hell $26 a piece for winter tires plus they are fun as hell in the snow. Thanks for the feedback, feel free to add anything.

My friend just picked up a 1990 5 speed Geo Storm with 170,000 miles and its running great. All my friends and I were laughin at it, its a rust bucket but its actually runs good.

Best part is, he only paid $100, Im gonna start looking for something like that.
