at pontiacs site it says 177bhp 166lb/ft tq for the engine w/ nearly 50/50 weight distro

Cool, then its game with an MS MX-5

178HP with 166lbs/tq at 2,529lbs.

That would be a really good match up.

I'm all over that car. Too bad they arn't making yellow I'll be buying white.

The colors seem to be: white, grey, black-grey, black-gree, black-blue, and black. And by that I mean everything other than the white and the silver looks black.

2006 Miata is under 2500lbs with 160HP. I posted the the latest info here towards the end.

Pontiac Solstice is 2800+lbs with 177HP.

^^Yep on strait line it will. But for handling, I give the nod to the Miata. Extra 300+lbs hurts in handling.

personally love the interior of the solstice way more then the sky. I cant wait for them to start hitting show rooms.

Yeah Ford did that with the Mustang Cobra and had to recall them all to repalce the exhaust system with a freer flowing one.

Mazda did it with the RX-8's when they were first released.They had to offer owners a buy back option.They listed them at 260 hp. and they barely made 230@the flywheel.

Ford did it also with the Cobra's.I believe it was the 98-99's.

Hyundai did it with the newer Tiburon's too..
