if i could find an old supra for a cheap price i'd pick it up in a second. my buddy got one for 500 bucks than started smokign a little and he got rid of it. interior was perfect, body looked great. needed some paint and probably a teeny bit of engine work and it wouldve been a nice little car with power everything.

There's a 97 Supra sitting down at the audio shop I go to all the time. It's for sale, body is in perfect condition, interior is in good shape. They just rebuilt the engine and dropped it in. They want 16 grand.. if only I had that kind of cash...
I see that you want a T88, I would advise against it unless your using it for track use only, the 7M will take forever to spool that big turbine up and wouldnt be a very good street car.
I would suggest a SP61GT or even an upgraded 60trim CT-26 for a turbo, mated with a BIC DDP and you'll be flying.

The supra is going to be the official track star, so yeah, i'm looking for a turbo that can swallow small animals, are there any other mkII / mkIII tuners becides rabidchimp.com? are there any trans. options becides LSD, or brake, suspension, or wheel options (love watanabe wheels but can't find them anywhere)? I'm kinda new to the supra scene.

The SP61GT is a damn good turbo good for +500rwhp, and it spools up pretty quick.
You would want to used a beefed up version of the R154 Turbo MK3 Trans, they can handle up to 500rwhp stock or a built TH400 Auto. for LSD I would personally get the N/A pumpkin from the sport package N/A MKIII they have a 4.30:1 ratio, good for lower end torque delivery. As for suspension a good Tein Coilover set can work wonders, big brake kit from brembo. Wheels are relative.
Anyway all this can be costly the Tein coilovers/T88H probably cost more than the car itself. The T88H would probably need a small shot of nitrous to help the sucker spool.

Trust me, you don't want a T-88 on that engine. We put a T-78 on our 2JZ-GTE Lexus SC300 and the car is slow (in all relativity) until 4500RPM.

i checked out some compressor maps, it was like comparing calista flockhart boobies to pamela anderson boobies, so i am going with the 61.

Actually the easiest thing he could do is to swap a 7m turbo/mani on it an have a "6MGE" I think is what its called.
Cheap and can get some good power from it.

The 7M swap will be less of a hassle, you will still have to get oil inlet and return lines and coolant lines for the turbo. Its possible to do it, but your going to have to do alot more work, drilling oil inlet/return lines and risk messing up the block.

the 5m that lies under the hood has 186,376 miles on it. it has lived it's life. it's down to either a complete rebuild or a swap. why have a 2.8 when you can get a 3.0.
