auto's aren't really a waste, but I do like autos sorry. I wanna buy some red mirror caps to break up some of the black.

Chances are those that hink an auto in a high hp V8 car is a "bitch" tranny probably drive 4-bangers where the auto trans kill any performance the motor has. A Mustang has enough hp that an auto is perfectly fine. It has power to spare and still will blow past any fart canned j-body with a stick.

Nice mustang! What year is it? I'm looking at getting one myself. I see some people are on the automatic bandwagon and some are on the standard bandwagon. I guess its all personal preferance. I've driven plenty of vettes, mustangs, srt8 chargers/challengers that were automatics and everytime the drive ends I have the same reaction. I always say damn thats an awesome car, if only it were a standard! Personally I just get more enjoyment out of the drive when I can shift gears.

That I can agree with. I enjoy driving a manual as well. If you want a manual because you enjoy driving it that I can relate to. Saying an auto is a waste in a v8 mustang though....thats ignorant. Not only in v8's. A lof of the newer cars the auto is actually better in a performance aspect. Why do you think most of the high HP supra's are autos? Stronger, shift faster, never miss a shift, better launches, and better for turbos when the tranny is built.

1000hp+ supra with a built 2 speed GM powerglide compared to a Mustang GT with 300hp and stock auto?

these are all argumentative, and really.. I think it boils down to what type of racing you're going to be doing as to what choice is ideal.
