Got a 2013 Cruze. DD style right here. No mods yet or in the near future. Its brand new warrenties and all that good stuff. getting 38ish MPG right now.

What do you guys know about these? anything good bad or ugly let me know. It was a snap decision to get it. I didn't research it or anything. HAHA...

I almost bought one, instead of my Camaro. Thankfully the wife agreed that I "needed" the Camaro.

haha mike, my goal was gas milage. it still get out of its own way though. its a high 15's car is that. i was just tired of maintaining the sunfire. I couldnt upgrade or modify because i was maintaining. so now i have a warrenty car, i can modify again with out worries.

I am trying to read up on tuning options. I would like a tiny bit more power if its doable.

Tuning that trans can prove fairly good gains...tuning of that trans is a pain in the ass.

You can get at least 5-6mpg with a great tune.

Nice car! My girlfriend bought the na version. Despite it's lack of balls being na it's a really nice car, especially for the price.

If you're looking for more of a plug and play solution, a friend of mine has a sonic with a side by side tune. I'm sure they make it for the cruze too. He can switch between the power tune and the stock tune with the flick of his cruise control. Obviously custom tuning is way better but it's an option. I should also mention that Vince makes it at Trifecta, which i know is a dirty word around here.

Whats happening to the 'fire?

Recently spent a week with a rented NA one, not too fond of them, turbo might have made for a better experience though. Can't believe GM put fabric on the dash .

IIRC, they're all turbo, just a matter of the 1.4 or the 1.8. The only NA one I think is the Buick Verano, which has the 2.4 in it.

Chris, I think that's a great score. I want to pick one up myself as a commuter in the near future.

yeah there are not all turbo. there is a 1.4t a 1.6 diesel turbo, and a 1.8 NA available on the US market.

the 1.8 is the LS

the 1.4t is the 1LT, 2LT, and LTZ i believe

I love it so far.

Its nice to be able to drive a worry free car.

I finalized it all yesterday. Got it at 5.9 interest which was a huge surprise to me. I guess my credit is better then i thought I got the 5 year/100k powertrain warranty that everyone gets, and a 6 year/72k bumper to bumper (extended from 36/36k) , as well at a 5 year unlimited miles wheel and tire warranty/insurance that is for ANYTHING except normal wear and tear.

I have a 2013 Eco 6M model. I also love it - for now it's got catless O2 housing, catless mid pipe, zzp FMIC kit and CAI. I did some mild HPT tuning. In the future I hope to swap the z-link rear and disc brakes, as well as the larger gas tank, and lower it on Bilstein coilovers.

Does the 2013 1LT have the z-link?

One thing I can tell you for sure, if you throw an intake on - TUNE IT. The maf calibration was way positive on mine after the intake (unfortunately I had not yet had 2013 support). Couple that with GM's ridiculous PE settings (possible full boost at stoich at lower RPM), and you get serious surging and knock city. As it is, I run 17 psi on 93 octane and get 42-43mpg on my normal commute of half highway and half back roads.

5.9% on a new car? Yikes. You couldn't have negotiated lower? I would have expected a 0% on something like that.

My fiance has been looking at the diesel version of it. Run for a million miles ant 45mpg!

I really like the look of the cruze a lot!

5.9 is a little high with the discount rate being so low. if your credit was that bad that could be why you are that high. for reference most cars are going out with 1.9-2.9. if you have the cash you can send in a separate check applied to principal only that should kill your payments much quicker, right now you are basically paying interest only. a hundred bucks here and there can knock overall loan amount down pretty quick.
