What do you mean "all the values"?

Which values specifically? There's more to tuning an auto car versus a manual car than the transmission tables. The VE, Spark, and other tables are all offset due to the dynamics of the engine mated to either an auto or manual. Just like a J-Body LD9 auto tune is different from a N-Body LD9 auto tune, the engine is set up for the stuff that its connected to.

I always wondering if the tuning between auto's and manuals were the same or not. Some people have been like oh no it is exactly the same except the tranny.

I wonder if my cobalt ss/cc MAP sensor would work with this flash? Ive got a brand new one, but never used it.. Instead of me going out buying a brand new S/C cavalier 2 bar, could I use the cobalt one?

ONLY if its a 2 bar, if its the 2.5 bar, it won't work.

Thx, I think its a 2.5 bar.. But ill have to do research to see which one it is.

I also used the tune from the HPT tune repository.

Still running good. It stalls sometimes, but I don't think I have my injector constant dialed in just right yet. Also, not sure if the knock sensor works. I was data logging and was hammering on it and had some fuel cut. My AFR hit like 13 for a bit and absolutely no knock.....so I dunno. Maybe its right, but it's weird that I don't see any.

Not yet. I haven't gotten my hands on a cluster and BCM yet. I'm trying to see if there is anyway possible to keep the '99 cluster. We'll see. I have my doubts though since I believe '00+ has a data stream or something while the '99 doesn't. Still don't know much about how they communicate.

You need the 00 cluster and BCM.
This is the guy I got my cluster from. Can't beat the price.
Mine came Very well packed, and BRAND NEW!

Gotcha. Maybe I'll snag one up. Only question is does the cluster and BCM have to match? I thought I read somewhere that they have to be a matching pair or at least have the same number or something on the back....

Anyone know if this is the right BCM p/n 9388199 or is p/n 19116418 .

Thanks for the info Luke.. What all warning lights are on in your dash?

Mike, where is the BCM located on our pre 00? lol Ive never seen it

If this works for me this weekend, im going to just leave my 99 cluster in there because I dont want to deal with all the bcm wiring.. Ill just get an aftermarket Tach the size of the rest of my gauges and just leave it like that.

Security, Low Oil, Low Coolant, and Battery Light. Also, no tach and no ECT gauge.

And pre '00 cars don't have BCM's.....

Hmm, good question.. If we switched to the 00 cluster, there wouldn't be a while to track our miles.. Unless there's a way to hook up that bcm..

See, this is whats confusing to me, I have the 'physical' 00 pcm that has the s/c reflash on it that im going to install.. So in theory, im not sure if I will have ANY warning lights in my dash after I do this..

Physically speaking a 98-02 is the same....I believe.

These lights will still be on David, or at least should be.

^^Yeah, I figured, I was just being a little hopeful lol.. I plan on doing full digital replacement guages anyway in the near future, so I can live with those lights on for a while..

Yup, a '99 PCM is exactly the same as a '00. A flashed '99 is the same as a '00 with it on originally. The lights will be on for sure. The '00 configuration speaks differently to the gauge cluster, hence why the '99 cluster has lights on. It doesn't know how to communicate to a '00+ PCM. They speak different languages.

You meant the 99-98 speaks directly to the gauge cluster.
00-02 speaks to the BCM then the gauge cluster.

Anyone have the pinouts for the '99 ECU? Also, does the '99 and '00+ use the same knock sensor? I swear mine doesn't work. I upped the timing and pulled back the fuel a bit, and still ZERO knock. I don't believe it. There has got to be SOME knock somewhere. I also had a knock sensor code thrown. Can anyone else with this flash verify that the knock sensor works?
