Emanage Group Buy??

Is there anyone out there that is willing to do a group buy on Greddy Emanage? If so, will you be able to beat Mohdparts prices? http://mohdparts.com/emanage/index.html

And how soon will this group buy end? If the price is right, I will buy a Emanage from the group buy, but I don't want to wait 5 months for everyone to get their money in. I am ready to buy in the next 2 weeks or so.

Cost isn't much less than MOHD sells it for. I mean hardly at all. Atleast for the package that's $575

If the Haltech E6GMX doesnt work with my car, I will end up going with Emanage.

i have heard the E6GMX doesn't like the j-body. i don't know why. another really good system i've been looking into is a unit put out by Powerhouse Racing (which turns out a lot of the 1000hp + supras in the US) called MAP ECU.

I sent a email to Haltech about the E6GMX on a boosted jbody. Hopefully they will reply tomorrow.

I sent Haltech an email about the Haltech E6GMX. All I got back from them was "It does not plug directly into the Jbody harness, why not try the E6GM". I sent them a reply email with the 99 2.4 pinouts, but no reply for 2 months now

Emanage GP would be great right know cause I need one too!

I would consider running this also. Does anybody know if the 4t40E would interfere with any of the aspects of installation or proper operation of the emanage? I wouldn't think so but just making sure. I am interested.

well while we're on the subject, i know we are having serious problems tuning fuel on an eco with emanage (for some reason despite the emanage displaying the right RPM and pulsewidth, it calculates a completely incorrect duty cycle(100 so it won't add any fuel even though the injectors are in reality only at about 40-50%. The timing function seems to work well enough though. How many people actually have Emanage working properly on an OHV? I'm just curious if the engine management between the 2 engines is really that different or if maybe we're just retarded for not having figured out this duty cycle thing yet.

it was a resistor trick some found to make it work fine other than the normal tune up

Do you know the difference between the E6GMX and the E6GM?
Here is the reply that I got from Haltech.
"Hello Adler,
Thanks for your enquiry.
The E6GM was originally designed for the Australian GM range of vehicles.
Attached to this email you will find a pinout diagram for the E6GM ECU. If
this pinout set is the same as the pinouts on your standard manufacturers
ECU then there is the potential for you use the E6GMX for your 99 sunfire.

If there is anything else i can do to help, please let me know.

Kind Regards,

Matt Wright

What size injectors are you using?

Russ W. seems to be doing alright with Emanage on his 97 2.2. He cannot do too much with the fuel because of the sucky side feed injectors. There is another guy on here with a 2000ish silver Cavalier 2.2 running Emanage. I think his name is Jason.

That's insane, are you sure it includes the 6 pieces?

E-manage + Support Tool + ignition & injector Harness + Pressure Sensor & Harness (6 items)
This Package for ONLY $575* (Save $33!)

I know what cost is from a pretty large distributor and it's still in the low $500's.

So Adler, do the pinouts match up for the diagram that Haltec sent you? I would imagine that they wont, but how hard would it be to rewire the ends of the harness to work with the Haltec unit?

Well, by looking at that and the stock pinouts, you could probably get it to work using the stock harness, but im not sure if things like the guage cluster will still work, and passing emmisions if thats important to you would be much harder, Also i think you would have to run edist in order to fire off the coils, or a traditional distributor.

It could be done, but i dont think its worth the hassle.

Well, it would seem to me that since you already have the programmable DIS-2 unit you dont need the emanage for the timming part, and then all you need is better control over the injectors and something like an SAFC-2 might be a better way to go, from what ive read it has more control over the injectors than the emanage, it can go +/- 50% and i think the emanage can only go 20%, and it does work very well i have one on my car and have spent some time playing with it, its cheaper and easier to hook up than the emanage also.

Just a thought.
