97 Speed Density file
Saturday, August 08, 2009 10:10 PM
Well today had a guy bring a 97 Z24 that has a built motor and turbo to me for tuning. Well finally I found a 97 speed density ECU. First one I have seen myself. They do exist.

The issue with the 97 speed density file (I've had it for a long while now) is that it lacks the IPW vs VAC table...

Is your file lacking that table John? HPT refused to add it in for me.

Chris no it does not have it. I'm thinking it is not there to start.

Look at your VE tables... The will all be MAP based instead of TPS based...

Well we knew this, I made a similar thread a couple years ago. We found out that there is a speed density PCM for the manual 97, but not the auto's. That was the main issue, I couldnt find one for the auto. We stuck the manual in my car and duhh, it wouldn't shift haha

I have one for a 97 Auto LN2.... Its a 3 speed, so technically its hydraulicly controlled, but the tables are there.....

I believe so, but I'm not sure if anyone has actually tried it yet. I have a 97 SD, 5 Speed tune saved somewhere if you want a copy.
