what do you want? the RP.bin, W41 .bin or the manta parts .bin?

you will also need the definition .XDF files (if using tuner pro)

ok, i know its back from the dead but i just got my car back from storage and its time for tuning.
i have everything needed, APU1 from moates and all the hardware related. i bought the definition from tunercat with the software.
problem is i cant even read my chip... i put it in the apu1 the right way as described on moates.net, read with flash and burn software but end up with a file of 1byte, then i tried with tunerpro instead and get a file of 32K but when opening with tunercat i always get an error.
anyone can help me please? i would like this to work after all the money put into this
thanx

I never did get the mantaparts bin.. I can't write a xdf for it if I don't have the bin to look at.
As for the others i'm on beta v.3 but there are still some bugs to work out.

can you send it to me too please so i can check if tunercat can read it. thanx

Not sure if tunercat can read it yet, but tunerpro will be able to soon. The mantapart bin appears to be based upon gm stuff. I have to look in more detail but I will definately update the forum when I have a compatible xdf for it.

with the $36 definition from tunercat, i should be able to read it. if not then the definition file is useless!!!!!
all i want to do is change the injector constant for now and the idle...
i'm not even able to read the stock chip!! WTF!!!
would you guys send me bu emai at magicien11@videotron.ca the file for tunerpro? xdf and ads and any 95 bin files.
thanx alot

I have a $36 for tunerpro, but I heard that the $36 was for a 2.2 LN2.... it works on my PROM though..... but word has it the $40 is what the 2.3's use for a def file.....

I would really love to have one from tuner pro though.

Re: tuning a 95?

Chris...

The 95pcm uses $36 for both 2.2 and 2.3L in our cars.
The only bin mask difference is $F1 for the 2.2L truck.

The 2.2L will work on your prom and any other 2.2L and 2.3L standard GM prom because its all $36 mask. The $40 mask rumor is caused by a version of tuner cat that read's the mask bits in the wrong place for this bin.

I had that very same issue during my first 3 months of research and with the help of Mark and Craig was able to eliminate the existence of a $40 mask for our cars.

I'm still digging through the Mantapart bin, its a very interesting bin. I'm also looking at building a full blown test bench and some trace software so we can completely figure out how this pcm works. After all, the pcm has the base hardware to easily become a good boosted pcm with customer software, not unlike the megasquirt packages. And with a few hardware mods we could even incorporate full on datalogging at the serial bus level or via Bluetooth.

Ya, I never really knew why a 2.3 would need a different mask file....

But, after the pump swap, and some street tuning this weekend, Ill send you the file that seems to work the best......
