Connect the OUT port of the MTX-L to the provided serial programming cable.
Connect the other end of the serial programming cable to your computer. If your computer does not have a serial port, you can purchase a USB to Serial adapter from Innovate Motorsports (P/N 3733) or use any USB to serial adaptor that includes drivers. Make sure that nothing is connected to the IN port of the MTX-L.
In the manual...

any updates? I am looking at this kit right now, I want to have 1 sensor doing both jobs, as well as the real-time monitoring. So this kit as well as the AEM kit are looking pretty good right now

I need to redo this. I had it kinda working, but it "seemed" to not be acting 100% correct. I might have time this weekend to try this again.

Some reason replies are not on for this. I also need to post up everything else for everyone that wants to do this!

So this is what I posted over on the HPTuners forum....
Quote:
I have had my MTX-L for a while now. It works great. I did have to adjust the voltage offset. It was about 0.3 off.
The only issue I'm having is using it as a wideband, narrowband, and hooking it to HPTuners.
The narrowband part starts to read richer and richer, until I recalibrate, but I'm not sure if it is the cars PCM or the wideband. No other J-body people with the same PCM has run it as a narrowband and a wideband. I love it as a narrowband since my stock O2 sensor is not heated, and the car doesn't run 100% till it is warmed up, but it has done this since I put a header on years ago.
Also, some more info on setup with HPTuners. How to Setup Your Wideband in Hp Tuners

So did you ever perfect using the innovate to emulate the narrowband signal? what exactly were the issues you found and the solutions? i have my mtx-l here.. looking to do the same setup if it will work right for me.
Have a nice day.

Well it does work correctly for a while....then the narrow band starts to read richer and richer....then if I do nothing the wideband will start to read richer. I actually found a post over on LS1GTO and it seems I could have a grounding problem somewhere. So I need to go back and check the ground to make sure HPTuners and the MTX-L stay consistent. They are both grounded to the same bolt right now...
