I'm going to see if I can get him the GM S/C program if he can use that at least for the 2k+ 2.4L's...

Well since we don't have VCM enhancements, all you can use the credits for is licensing vehicles.

hahahahahahaha you've got to be joking... all this time, and they're not supporting 2-3 bar map sensors? are these guys just that stupid, or do they LIKE not making money? I mean, for N/A guys it'll be great but how many on here do you see doing N/A builds?

I might have use for it if and when the OHV N/A project gets into swing, but seriously, what an incredibly DUMB decision on their part.

Like I said in the other post, its not a decision, they don't write the OS's, they use ones from GM. They don't choose not to add 2 bar support, they need to aquire a 2 bar OS for it. The LN2's never had a 2 bar OS.

UPDATE!!!!!!!

Chris from HPT wrote:
If there is factory 2bar calibrations then we will support it.

Most of the 4 cyl cals are TPS or MAP based on the VE table.

I would expect a beta announcement for the Cavaliers next week sometime.

It should be possible.......... you SHOULD be able to copy the fuel maps, ignition maps, and everything, and down load it into the 96-99 pcms........ its at least worth a try.

People have put the 00+ PCM into a 97-99, and only thing it didnt do was power the gauge cluster......... so it SHOULD be possible.

if the OS didnt support something in 96-99 cars this software wont help that. a new OS would have to be written combining aspects of the 2 (pre 00 and 00+), but good luck getting it supported. also as shifted has said before, you must be VERY good with moto assembler AND very bored. this is GREAT news for the eco guys! the eco s/c program has a 3 bar map (if we can find it) so i'm told and im sure could be flashed to a 00+ ecu for eco swaps.

good news about the OS, now we need to get them a eco s/c ecu

I haven't seen anywhere that they said they would support the 2.2 eco s/c reflashed ecu. I know about the cobalt ss, but they aren't the same exact reflash.

I just posted that they said they would....

They said that they would support 2 bar enhancements on any vehicle that can get the reflash from a dealer. I don't think you would have to get your car reflashed then get this software, I think they can use the OS and provide the reflash through this, but they said they would support it.
