thanks shifted.
couple more and ill be done for the night. I want to place my order tonight
1) I buy the 500 dollar version. I wait until HPT can get the programming done for the SC reflash (which is definently going to happen, right?). I get the additional software support from HPT for a 2 bar map. I use 2 credits to then "upgrade" my tuning abilities to tune under a 2 bar environment? correct?
2) how long between placing order an recieving my cable. I here that this company is out of valencia. I have to go see Jim at gravana next monday. Do they do will call?
3) can we pay the 150 at a later date to upgrade to the enhanced version?
I think i should be done annoying people for the night. Ill be placing my order.

tuned 170 at the crank with tuning software? or with all boltons possible?

1. Yes, I'm sure it's going to happen. That is the process.
2. I don't think you'll get it in under a week. I placed an order for mine on the 9th. I recieved the software and activation on the 17th, and I've yet to recieve the cable (should be this week). The cable can ship from one of three locations throughout the states (Orlando, FL - Chicago, IL, or Valencia, CA). Mine is coming from FL. It takes time because they program the cable to be locked to your copy of the software.
3. Yup, as you saw, you can, but its more expensive than $150, its actually about $199.

Yes, it is for the eco. I don't know what you mean by an eta date though... eta for what?
its just for the eco? so then i will have to change out a bunch of stuff to use it on a 2002 2.4L? if that is correct then this is really upsetting.
yes i did thats why i was confused by the statement. Because i have been following this post for awhile and i have been to the website. I just thought there was a mix up along the way or something got changed.
yeah its hard to understand, when they say its for all 97-05 vehicles, what they really mean is that if you have anything other than an 00-02 that you have to replace your PCM to an 00-02
i only need 390 more bucks now

It says beta still on their website, which is whats gonna make me hold off on this one. The whole product seems like a god tool for the whole PCM on our cars (havent been following the product too much). It says it comes with 8 credits, which is fine, and the car uses 2, fine still. Someone with just bolt on's is this worth it as something good to have later down the road?
lol its okay shifted, i understand it was late.

So... for 6 credits, I can get a year/model, right?
So could I use my 6 credits to open it for all 2001 2.4L's and then apply the other 2 credits to allow the 2-bar blower calibration?
Would that then allow me to tune any 2001 2.4L with or without the blower?
Is it tied to the year, or just the engine revision? Would that actually allow me to tune any 00-02 2.4L?
Ender-
Its up to you to decide if its worth it.
Weasel-
A model/year package is just what it sounds like, one model for one production year. So you would be able to tune all Pontiac Sunfires (2.4 or 2.2) for one particular model year (like 2001). You would not be able to tune a Cavalier of that same year, because its not the same model as a Sunfire.

Interesting. Seems to me it would make more sense to allow for one engine rather than one year/model.
I mean, I'd rather the ability to tune all 00-02 2.4's than all 01 Sunfires. Sounds like it would be a bit of a waste to use my credits that way then. Might as well just stick to the 2-credits per car system.
With that, I can do whatever I want to that single car, right? If that car has the 2-bar s/c program, then it's still just 2 credits?
So for my 8 credits, I can tune 4 different cars regardless of their configuration?
Guys, I think the reason its setup like this is because of how they code the cables and this is somehow relative to the VIN numbers. VIN number doesn't say what motor you have so they can only program it for years / models. Just a possibliity.
