You got mail...

I am from MI, but I visit my brother often and he is just outside of Chicago, so it is not a problem for me to come over that way if necessary. I can make it over there in just about 3 hours, no big deal to me...

Anyways, I would like some additional info about this, so give me what you got I have been watching these post for some time now and I am getting really excited that its getting closer!

Right now I think I have one of the most reliable daily driven street Cavaliers that can rattle off 13's all day long and drive home like nothing happened.

This is my second car and second turbo setup, so I have been messing with these cars for a while, plus I have close friends that know as much if not more than I do. I think that we can be of some help.

Let me know...

Later,
Jeff
a simple serial port to usb adapter would do the trick. emulates a serial com port.

and this sounds too good to be true.

chicago, cis degree, and with a built turbo 2.4

come find me
sorry i work in tech support and macs suck, esp laptops. i feel fro ya bro

if you say macs or mac laptops suck be sure you know why? id love to hear that answer. otherwise you will look like an idiot to anyone who really knows both platforms. also dont ever mix up whether you are talking about the OS or the hardware. apple makes both but hey are different products. be sure not to mix them up. to me you look like a fool, but i doubt you are dumb, just maybe ignorant to the platform at large. read up on them like i did. if you are indeed very knowledgable about computers in genereal your ideas will change very quickly..

9 pin is what you want. 25 pin is LPT1 for printers
actually our dependency with running this software depends soley upon the methods of it implementation. if it was coded in .net then we are good to go. if so then i could do i write up after i install and get it running for all the OSX peeps.
25 pins connector are parallel port not serial... and btw usb adaptor are $hit. Most of the time they don't work on equipements.

I beleive serial can either be 25 PIN or 9 PIN. The 25PIN on the PC is female which is a parallel port for printers. The serial is a 25 PIN male which is serial as well. DB-9 and DB-25.

Are there any guesses as to how long the beta testing will take? How long till the product hits the market for normal buyers?
It shouldn't take long. The software is tested and stable and working well on v8 and v6 cars already so its just a matter of being sure the 4 cyl cars don't have any hidden side effects

What years/engines is the software currently being tested on? Or does it really matter?

Robogeek, how is this software layed out? Is it a matter of changing numerals, from like .6 to .8, or is it a really easy to use graphical user interface? I've seen both, so I'm kinda curious how this particular one is going to be layed out.....
nobodys been picked yet

tuning works like this:
http://www.hptuners.com/products.html

As far as engines, I'm not sure whats in beta. eventually they will do whats in demand, and the older the simpler. Expect eco's first followed by others, but thats not set in stone..

not because i have one, but simply because there are more of them, id think the 2.4's would come first. There are many people ehre with ecos, but there arent nearly as many that need this as there are 2.4's mainly those that are boosted. Same goes for 2.2/2200, just my opinion, either way im sure all will be happy when all is said and done. I say let jeff(kane5576) try er out, then i can see how it works 2
