Will HP tuners work with this setup?
Saturday, September 09, 2006 9:06 PM
I am running a 2.4 twin cam with a P&P head, HO cams (no cam sensor), gm s/c and some other minor things. I currently have an MS-2 setup, but I cant get a tach signal. I am getting frustrated with it. Any help would greatly appriciated.

The ECU needs a cam signal to work otherwise it'll throw codes, but otherwise I don't see why it wouldn't work.

It has thrown a code already for no cam sensor. Is there a way to eliminate the cam sensor and convert over to a multiport setup in HP tuners?

I swear, as loud as you are, you should be doing at least 200 mph.

No, HPT uses the stock ecu and adjusts values in that, it isn't a standalone like the MS or AEM units.

So unless I can find a way to get my cam sensor back working, I am going to have to use a stand alone. Anyone on here use MS-2?
