Just getting ready to tune with hp tuners.

L61 with saab kit,

What are you guys doing for timing at say a certain rpm, or are you pulllin so many degrees per lb of boost?

Just looking for a general idea.

thanks
jason

I just pulled a bunch while in boost and did touch the non boost sections of the map. Once the fuel was tuned I started to add spark back in until I got knock and then backed it off.

faking a 2.5 bar tune your car goes in at about 45 kpa. Just running boost on a 1 bar with a 1 bar sensor it enters at 100 kpa.

This may sound very generic, but i'd pull 3-5* in the 105kpa column and a degree or two in the 100kpa column until fueling is completely tuned. Then, provided you have a working knock sensor, add the timing back in a degree or two at a time, stopping of course if you see serious knock in load.

Which is basically what I said, but I left it generic enough for him to use if he was faking a 2.5 bar tune.
