No matter what you use it wont be same, it will probbaly crack again. U could try 2 part urethane adhesive.

I imagine you could put a support behind the crack to bond it together securely, couldn't you? So long as there's room behind it. If it's on a part that's flush to the car then bonding it to the car itself would work.

Then you'd just repair it as you would any other gouge using stuff made for urethane. My bodyshop did a great job on my skirt that got seriously gouged up.

like ww said , take a small piece of material a lil bigger then your crack and put the urethane adhesive in the crack and on the piece for the back, get the crack lined up good, put the patch on the back and clamp it together, then sand down the excess adhesive

Just make sure that you make a v groove in the crack first so that the urethane filler actually bonds and seals the crack. After that slap whatever it is that you are gonna use to try to keep it together like WW said.

now you 2 are correct to a certain degree the first step in any type of plastic repair is to find out what kind of plastic it is your workin with here is a small example of how to tell what kind of plastic you are workin with
on most bumpers there is a code if ya look inside of any kind of plastic on a car it will tell ya what type of plastic it is polyurathene, tpo.tpe.pp.or abs so if ya don`t see anything like that ya can do this cut a small piece of the plastic of the side skirt and try to sink it in a glass of water if it floats you have to promote the plastic to make a quality repair if it does not float then you can repair the plastic with any type of repair
so yes all those types of plastic are made out of 2 other type os plastic offelin and non-offelin plastic
ok so the best way to repair a torn piece of plastic this is what i do and have been doin for the past 10 yrs and i-car also taught this yes v-groove the tear take a die grinder and lightly grind both side of the plastic clean it with glass cleaner yes glass cleaner it has amonia in it best way to clean it now i plastic weld tears in the kit it comes with all different types of plastic rods to repair any type of plastic once that is done let it cool off now on the back side of it take panel bond 3m or duramix and bond the tear from the back side not the front the back side
in front when you welded the tear shut some of the plastic rod should have come through the other side just a small amount now take your d.a. with some 80 grit paper and strat re shapin the plastic now you can coat the outside of it with a plastic repair material NO BONDO!!! please i have seen this so many time`s and it does not last it cracks off and all that is to me is butcher work
ok another method is the stitch stamp method what that is is you v-groove the tear lightly grind both sides of the plastic and drill with a 1/8 drill bit hole but they have to be staggered for this to work duramix and 3m make a thin sheet of plastic backin material to fix crack take you repair material and apply it to the backin plastic and apply it to the crack it should come out the other side and when it does have a spreder to smooth out the ozzin material let it dry a full day come back and finish it up
there are allot of ways to fix plastic but what i told you is just a small sample of what can be done if you know what your workin with

can i haz bondo

do what big daddy said, sometimes you can use a fiberglass cloth as a backing for the adhesive, i have grown very fond of the stitch method, i found that after a while a tear will tear again easier without it. Also make sure when repairing plastic that you use material that is made for what you are repairing, i.e. if the plastic is rigid, then use a rigid material, if it is semi rigid or flexible use the appropriate materials for that. Plastic welding is nice, but the adhesives are more readily available and in my opinion easier to use. Be sure to use the appropriate adhesion promoter if necessary.

I got a small 2 inch crack in my side skirt, but that was my stupid fault.. i lowered it down without a block of wood under my tires, and the jack pushed up on it.. until it cracked

i might end up getting different side skirts eventually anyhow.. and possibly a different front

I like the way the razzi looks on the rear end, but i liked the bomex sides and front..
