Are they worth getting....I don't want the ones that cover the whole light....Just the ones that look like these:

Does anyone have a pic. of these on their car at night ??

I would like to see how much light they block out before i decieded to get a pair (If I even do get a pair).

I have also look as well....but didn't come up with anything..

I used to have those on my car before I did my headlight conversion. I painted mine from the inside tho so that they looked like red carbon fiber. Even after painting them, they still didn't block out much light.

On my '98 GT I have the Phantom covers (two clear parts per light) and they do shine through only the round portion. In my opinion they look way better that way than the stock Sunfire headlights. For the Cav though, I don't know. I would think they'd look a lot better just because you wouldn't look like every other Cavs headlights...

Yeah, you can see really well, just as well as with them off. The only thing I find is that road grime seems to stick to the plastic on the covers more easily than the regular headlights. I also have Cool Blue style bulbs and I seem to get flashed by on coming cars a lot more with the covers on than with them off. Almost like the light is more intense coming out of the smaller holes. I basically keep mine on all year round and it's nothing like buying smoke or all carbon fiber ones that you can't see anything with.

I've been really happy with my purchase and I'm sure you would be with yours.

I had them too, they don't block much light at all...

They do block a little but not a lot.

Personally, I never liked that style.
I still like the smoked ones, and clear ones color matched from the inside. If you thin out the paint right, you can probably manage to color match them to your car and still have the light come through. If you have a shop near you that will screw with the color formulas, try having them put half the measurements for your color in, and put it in clear instead of base, and then do a light coat and see how it looks.

Just my $.02 (actually, that was probably more like $.50, but whatever )

I think theyre pretty nice, as long as you paint them.

Alright thanks for all the info guys.....

One question.....Everyone keeps telling me to paint them to match the car....What to I paint the inside or outside ?

and how would I go about doing it ???

And here is a pic. of the ones that I would be getting....cause I had someone tell me that the ones that I had a pic. of that they wouldn't fit cause the 00-02 headlights are smaller than the 95-99 one....which I should have known that....
