Trunklid Removal - Exterior Forum

Trunklid Removal

I checked mine out, it looks like theres 2 small bolts on each arm of the trunklid. Is that all there is to it to remove the trunklid?

and remove wires to your back up lights and spoiler if you have it..
but yes thats all it is

yup .... make sure you have you trunk lid in the open position or else the arms will kick up ... you have to lift up the trunk off thre hinges ... ij ust did an 02 trunk lid with my 03

Yeah, surprisingly that is one of the easier things to remove on a cavalier. (unlike that stupid bottom dash piece.

does this mean that you can replace the 03 trunk with a trunk from an 02? even carbon fiber?

^^^ yes. make sure when you put it back on though to lower it slowly onto the arms, if line it up and just let it fall onto it, you can do some damage to the back window
