my satsifaction comes from reading a post about how this person is goin to fix his rock chips with a rattle can and maybe put flames right over the chips to cover it up
lol
that`s my satsifaction to see the stupidity that comes out of someone`s mind
gives me satsifaction lol
i do use rattle can to paint brackets, bumper trim, ppg makes a rattle can e-caot i do use on small areas
so ya you are still clueless about the trade lol!!!!
lmao!!!
can i haz bondo
Yeah... it is sad ain't it? I at least try to help people and I don't point and laugh. I say... if you can't be helpful... don't post.
Kross> Yeah I do see what you're saying... but I'd just rather personally stay away from the aerosol cans. The Extreme I mentioned (that took 5 grinder discs just to get the paint off) had a dent 4-5" thick in the rear passenger side of the cab on the lower part behind the door... and the kid that "fixed" it didn't pull the dent at all... just filled it with filler. He did a good job with it as far as the body work being totally even and such... but if you're not gonna fix something right don't fix it at all ya know?
well i am helpful but why help someone that ask`s a dumb question like that
sorry for crappin up the thread, but some of the questions that are asked do make me laugh
oh ya you do help alright all i see is "i am body tech of 5 yrs" and post useless info
at least when i do help i post helpful info because i am a body man of 15 yrs lol
so dude you do what ya want with the rattle can
can i haz bondo
Well for being a body tech of 15 years I"ve seen you give people some useless info yourself. Some people don't know anything about auto body and paint, that's why they ask the questions. All you do is belittle people and make them feel like crap because they weren't "blessed" with the "knowledge" you possess. So if you can't post to help them or give them the "correct" info... don't post at all. Belittling people does not help them... so if that's how you're helping them... you're failing...
big daddy you are a amusing person, lol ignorance is bliss eh, I fail to see a dumb question or anything pointing towards the level of my intelligence in said matter or rather as you lack their of. I know what I am capable of doing so say what you will mr 15 year body man whoopity doooo
Its all about the pain...The Jewelry and Ink are just souvinirs

Thats kind of messed up... im sure at one point when you were starting your career you were asking questions too... Questions are the only way to learn, ok so maybe you dont like the idea of him putting flames on the car... I have the feeling if he was just doing the same color to make it look better you would give a educational response rather than laughing.
I mean common, you took the time to make a comment on his post, and it would have taken the same time to help him out and be constructive as it took to make yourself look childish and throw negative comments out like that.
Ive done some good stuff with spray paint myself, and am looking at repainting my front bumber (which is why i came to this thread) After reading some of the more USEFULL comments on here i will be purchasing a gun and all the correct materials, then doing it the right way, practicing on some scrap before taking it to my own car. A select few people brought me to this decision with their constructive helpful comments... then i see a couple that make me not even want to bother in this forum again.
Sorry if i get flamed for this post, i just hate it when i see people who know plenty of information about a specific subject, but laugh at others when they want to know more about it. Do you feel like you have to protect what you know?? If you give somebody advice it doesnt take it out of your own memory, it just spreads the knowledge.... If you laugh at someone for wanting to know more than maybe you should question yourself.

Ben Brown> I completely agree with you. Every post I've seen from him is pretty much the same stuff. "Ha ha you idiot" "you don't know crap" "you're stupid" blah blah... same stuff from him all the time. Yeah I've only been doing auto body and paint for 5 years... but I know what I'm talking about, and try to help. He comes in here trying to "help" (if that's what you want to call it) and I've seen him himself give bad advice to people on more than one occasion, then argues with me and tells me I'm wrong and stupid, and put me down for being a chick. So what if I'm a chick? I know my stuff. I've worked on three org members cars already... and I have at least 5 more comming up.
Don't let him discourage you from comming into this forum... just try to ignore him... that's what I try to do. If you ever have any questions or anything, feel free to get a hold of me and I'll help you.
please lets all calm down, go work in the body shop field for 15 years *10 for your fallen* then come back and discuss this topic properly.
ive been involved in audio for roughly 15 years myself. as a passion not as a profession. and i see posts go up all the time about things that seem really idiotic and so easy to answer. but then i think back to when i was installing my very first radio and remember that i new nothing about it when i started. what may be so dumb and stupid to you, is just another person trying to learn the process... and in auto body like the audio world, there is more then one way to get to the end. and both can be right.

well, obviously working in a body shop for 15 years hasn't done big daddy a lick of good. he can't carry on a single conversation without belittling whoever he is talking to and acting like he's the best body tech on the face of the earth.
when you were learning to do your stereo installs, and you asked a rather basic question... did people constantly tell you to take it to the professionals cause you were too stupid for asking that question? that's all big daddy ever does. the only advice i've ever seen him give that was worth the time to read was when someone asked what brand of paint to use and his one word reply was "ppg".
however, this thread isn't about him and it's gotten way off course. from now on, if he says anything that bugs you, try and ignore his ignorance and hopefully he'll go away.

Oh I know there's different ways of doing things. What gets me is that I HAVE seen him give BAD advice. Like.. when that guy posted about the paint bubble on his car, and he said that it was from mixing the base and sealer wrong. For one, you don't mix base and sealer, base being your color of course. He argued with me about that for 4 or 5 posts... THEN says mixing your sealer and activator wrong. That particular bubble had to have been caused by rust or a pinhole in the metal allowing moisture to get trapped behind the paint. I've seen it numerous times before.
I can accept if he has a different suggestion on a way to do something... because like you said there are different ways of doing things. I have no problem with that.
What i have the problem with is him comming in here and making people feel like crap for asking a question. There was a time too when I didn't know anything about paint and auto body. There's nothing wrong with someone asking a question and wanting to learn... and trying to help someone is not calling them stupid for asking a question.
