well i must of hit some hot gum on the road or something anyway it flug all over my pass side i just got my car painted liek 2 weeks ago i was scrubbing t i have swirls all in my paint now im @!#$ pist.. its way too much to use ice on every spot.. is there a adhesive remover or anything that is safe for the paint does anyway know im so mad!! i obviously have to have the car buffed/ polished when i get it off to get the same swirls out
umm yea... goo gone then wax it
I used 3m adhesive remover comes in a black can thingy works wonders
I'd think to goo gone would be to strong for that fresh of paint
Mike Jones..... Who?
if goo gone is anthing like goof off.. then yea that @!#$ will strip the clear right off.. is the 3m adhesive remover safe for paint? i also heard about gasoline and a rag? i was gonna try dish soap also ill try somethings tomorrow anything else?.. also the told me at the shop to bring it back in 2 weeks they would polish and buff it so do u think that will take out the swirls i put in the damn thing
go to the local detail shop and ask for a tar and wax remover...
it should def help take it off, and it will not hurt the paint...
just had a car in yesterday with gum all over the the inside fender wells...
if that doesnt work...you can try laquer thinner...spray it on a shop towel and wipe the area where the gum is...just dont rub too hard because it will scratch the hell out of the paint...but like you said if its gonna need buffed...then go ahead and rub...and just make sure you go over it real well with the beffer and compound...
wish i was closer to help ya out... email me or im me if ya need some help...
umm goof off wont strip your clear coat...i just used it on a brand new expedition and it was fine....used it then polished an waxed it...
goof off is some harsh @!#$.. ive used it before on a lil thing of paint.. if u rub with goof off its like brake fluid it will strip the paint as soon as u start rubbing on it. i used it before and it made a spot white on my car
and dulled spots
go to a paint store and get some laquer thinner.. it'll probably come right off but I wouldnt scrub real hard with it.. i dunno, thats what i would try b/c goo gone will take days.
well i have a friend that works at a car wash i went to take it they said they wont even do it because my paint is too fresh.. i asked to do it on a little spot but they still didnt even let me so ill try to get some adhesive remover shi9t from autozone or something
I used goo gone on my paint and it was fine i used it like a week after i got it painted to so you should be ok if you use that

I used 3m adhesive remover I had gum on mine yesterday and my paints only about 3wks to a month old....took the gum right off, no paint with it.
Don't use chunky tho!! that scratches yer paint! haha
I used Goo Gone to get remains from pin stripe glue off, my paint looks fine!
