Can u adj. trunk lid?

I noticed my lh side is lower a lil bit then my rh side by lookin at the alighnment of my inner taillight to my outer taillight. how do I lower the fitment so the lid is alighned with the quarter panel right ?

I'm not exactly sure on this (haven't tried) but I'd guess it's as simple as tightening/loosening the bolts on the trunk arms. The left side of my trunk is a bit misaligned but I'm to lazy to fix it.

Im not sure about the cavalier trunk but on my 99 sunfire coupe when you open the trunk and look on the inside of the trunk lid towards the back (of the car) there are two little rubber bumpstops that you can thread in or out (same as on the hood) to adjust how high/low each side sits when its closed. Hope this helps!

I will mess with those bump stops and see if that fixes the alignment thanx

Worst comes to worst, add nylon washers to give the lift.

I gatta do this too, and my left side is lower than my right too. it pisses me off, but I never knew how easy or difficult it would be to adjust. Thanks for asking for me OP.

In fact, all my panels needs just a touch of adjustment.
