rear bumber question
Friday, April 06, 2012 6:10 PM
i drive a 2002 cavalier ls it has the spoiler and rear lip, im wanting to put the 03+ lss rear bumper on it. what all has to be done for this to work? i would imagine it bolts right up but on the lss bumper that filler piece below the tail light is molded into the bumper, would i have to remove the ones currently on the car for the bumper to work? i know its probably a dumb question but just wanted to know before i got a bumper.

Yeah those have to come out. They're just held in with two or four (cant remember) nuts under the carpet in the trunk.

Those filler pieces are connected to the bumper so they would have to be removed anyways. Also you will need the crush support for the 03+ rear bumper. Other than the two bolts in each wheel well and the six in the trunk and the push pins under neath it's simple.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who often spells bumper like bumber. Lol I make that mistake all the time.
