Can we just use the clear lamps out of a 2002 Firebird? I'm not sure, but I think they are the same 3.5" size and take the same size bulbs...plus they are cheaper @ $36.00/pr. as opposed to $60.00

Go find u a I believe like a 97-03 grand am...iv proven those will work....just make sure it has 3 threaded bolts and not a mounting bracket...also if u want a filler plate the 1 off a grandma will work...just look at my sig all the parts iv named came from those cars. And my turn signals rectangular and round came from a 2000 se .lol

Adam wrote:Hey ender where did you get your side clear turn lights? I would like them on my 97 sungire gt.

do you use a clear bulb with that clear lens or u use amber?

Sunfire clear side marker lights.

Personally, I would use amber bulbs for the front side marker lights and red bulbs for the rear side marker lights, but the bulb color you use is really up to you.

I always wondered about that. Good to know.

Hmm...ok I have a idea for a test....ur gt has the rear bumper side markers like a se of the same year? If so since my car is originally a 97 se with a 00-02 gt front bumper..i just went out and took a rough measurement of the 2 front and back and they seem to be the same just 1 was red and 1 is amber originally (i sprayed both of mine) sooo it looks like they would work..if it were me id order them

Yes, they will fit your '97 GT.

I'm not sure if these would fit or not.

I actually don't think $30.00 is bad for smoked marker lights.

Below is the breakdown of all the Sunfire years and trims and which side marker lights (front and/or rear) the clear eBay ones will replace:

1995-1999 Sunfire GT Coupe - front & rear
1995-1999 Sunfire SE Coupe - rear
1995-1999 Sunfire SE Sedan - N/A

2000-2002 Sunfire GT Coupe - front & rear
2000-2002 Sunfire SE Coupe - front & rear
2000-2002 Sunfire SE Sedan - front

2003-2005 Sunfire Coupe - front & rear
2003-2005 Sunfire Sedan [Canada only] - front

30.00 for smoked markers isn't bad at all just me being a cheapo D.I.Yer. I just prefer to go the 10 dollar route and save some money but have the same effect.lol

Trust me, they fit. If you want to see for yourself, go to a junkyard and find a 2000+ Sunfire and grab a front or rear side marker light off it and match it up to the front and rear side marker lights on your '97 GT. I listed the side marker light compatibility in my previous post.
