Is it possible to replace the stock hood prop with hydraulic hood lifts? If so what is required and how should I go about installing.
yes it is, it has been done a few times, someone even sold kits to do it, i dont recall who. I would search and see if it helsp any
Thanks for the info Banana
We should get a group purchase on those...thats such a nice easy setup anyone can do and it beats having a prop rod.

Yeah thats kinda why I was interested in doing it. I hate having a prop rod
I have had the red line st its on my car sine 2005ish when one of the group purchases was run. Maybe I'll contact them and see if I could get another gp going.

love mine, then i use a piece of plastic chain and a couple of D ring keychains as a "hood prop" limiter at the shows.
i would like a set if a group buy happens
I'd be interested in them GB or not.
i got mine from an oldsmobile cutlass supreme there bolted to the hood then i took the hinge and cut the tab i needed and welded it to the j body hinge
BEST MOD EVER more so because my upper mounts prevented the use of a prop rod for me
JBO since July 30, 2001

Thanks for your interest in our QuickLIFT products. We support web forums and conduct group buys directly from us, the manufacturer – the manner in which we conduct our group buys is simple, along with the pricing.
After the number of valid buyers has been determined, we will enable a custom URL for your group that will be posted for a short period of time (generally 2 weeks). This link will allow purchases to take place at the determined discount rate. Each U.S. customer will receive their
FedEx tracking number in an email soon after payment is received. After the predetermined purchase quantity has been reached, we will ship out all packages and the tracking numbers will become valid. The initial number of valid buyers is critical, we will not further discount
the group buy pricing if the number of customers exceeds what was initially agreed upon (i.e. pricing is fixed once group buy begins). We also support international group buys with the option to ship to one location at a discounted rate (all products shipped together). We will need to know the exact quantity before giving a shipping price, however, this unit price will be considerably less than individual purchase rate.
Our pricing is as follows:
QTY 1-9 Redline Tuning QuickLIFT - $69.95 (no discount)
QTY 10-29 Redline Tuning QuickLIFT - $59.95 ($10 discount) + shipping
QTY 30+ Redline Tuning QuickLIFT - $56.95 ($13 discount) + shipping
QTY 40+ Redline Tuning QuickLIFT - $55.95 ($14 discount) + shipping
Pricing for single gas spring systems follow the same volume discounts listed above, starting at base prices of $69.95 for QuickLIFT PLUS (single gas springs
systems only).
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
Thanks,
Redline Tuning
