i'd be in for two sets. one for the cav and one for the mustang, if it's not limited to just cav/fire parts
These should be fine with an rksport ss fiberglass hood right? If so, count me in
I know there is a disclaimer about using with a fiberglass hood. I know a few members have these on the FG and CF hoods, but beyond that I know only a little on it. I know of one person that has these on his CF hood, and he made brackets to help spread-out the force on his hood "just-in-case."

I'm still interested, but I still need more pictures. What we have so far is not enough for me.
I have a original hood prop kit from back in the day that requires drilling a hole into the hood and using a insert, that then allowed you to screw in a ball connector for the shock to connect to. Then you replaced one of the fender bolts with another screw in connector.
This kit does not seem to be like that, but what parts exactly are supplied, and what tools are needed?

They send 8 rivets with the kit plus shocks and directions.... Tools needed are drill, drill bits, rivet gun and a freind

I put them on a couple weeks ago after reading this thread...they're awesome and easy to do alone. They hold the hood up a bit higher and it's nice not having a pole in the way.
I have 4 friends with these on their cars. Everyone of them loves them. I would be interested in getting a set for my car too if the GB goes thru. They are a breeze to install with a little patience.
Yea u can do it by urself, the freind was to sit back enjoy ur work and ha e a drink with
John I'll try to remember to get some pics.

Has anyone been able to make these work on carbon fiber hoods?
just drill and rivet the brackets to the hood.....

John, I'll text you some pics this weekend of the hood struts and mounting.

I actually assume most people do..lol.
But they are super cheap....I think I paid $5 for mine.

I got the O2 sensor socket, never had a need for a rivet gun.
I truly do not understand why people use rivets.

In that case...I'd be in for a set.
I use mine on my sled...(ski-doo), and other random things.
