Fitting a RK Sport Lip
Saturday, April 08, 2006 6:34 AM
I just recieved my lip and going to test fit it before paint. My questions is: what did you use to attach the lip to the bumper(besides 3m tape). It has pre-drilled holes, so what kind of hardware should I use?
Thanks in advance for the info.

is it the 03-05 RK lip? front or rear? i used to have the front lip, and i used some 1/2" bolts with washers and nuts. i didnt even use 3m tape, and it fit perfect. no gaps or anything

it the front lip. I was thinking of using nuts and bolts but I figured I'd see what everone else used.

Depending on how low your car is, you might want to use zip-ties. It sounds ghetto, but trust me, you'll appreciate it when you smash that lip on a curb or the ground, and instead of breaking, it doesn't.

No problem. Just make sure you have those zip-ties as tight as possible, and you might even want to double up, they probably won't break though, and like I said, they allow for enough movement in case you scrape exiting a driveway or smush your lip on a curb.
