Looking for an interesting or different black color
Tuesday, August 24, 2010 8:10 PM
Im shooting my new hood black because I want it that way. (Save the OMGZ Ur tryin to fake Carbon fiberz @!#$) Does anyone know of any interesting variants of black. Like different pearls or effects that would look cool against Cayenne Red.

Would a red-orange type of pearl look good? It would look dark until the light hits it and then it would be reddish right?

I would say a reddish pearl, or maybe even argent pearl.

prepare for the "when you going to paint that hood you bought of someone to match the car"

id have to say if your really going to go that route do some type of thin candy or pearl red over it so it somewhat looks like it was meant to be painted that way and that your not just to cheap to paint the hood.

I had my hood painted black to match my black trunk lid and I was going to paint my roof black. I've grown out of that phase. I think color matched would look better.

that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra
scary to me. There's a large, out-of-focus monster, roaming the countryside.

what about black base coat with a red clear (like stained glass paint). This way when you catch the sun the reflections are red but you keep the black hood. IDk... just an idea
