What do you love about Canada or America?
Monday, April 04, 2005 8:27 AM on j-body.org
Let's play a little game. Americans name what you love or like about Canada and Canadiens you name what you love or like about America.
I love Maple Syrup, can't think of the brandname but it comes from Canada and damn is it sweet.

This is not a hate thread so lets keep it that way, if you want to start a I hate Canada or America post make a new thread!

I have dual citizenship, but I live in America (which I don't like so much), so I'll say what I like about Canada (where I would much rather live):

The landscape is beautiful.
The people are 1000x nicer.

I'm sure there are more things I love about Canada, but those 2 right there are my main ones.

I think he only wants responses from Canadiens (ka,na,dien), not Canadians (Ka nay dee ans).
My french is weak, so I can't answer.

Citizens of Canada are called Canadians. Those who are Canadiens, are Canadians who speak french.

Your girls are easier.
Your Univeristy parties are crazier.
Your beer is cheap, and even though some of it may taste like water, people are impressed when you drink lots of it.
You have the state of Florida and California. God do I love Florida and California.
You have nicer cars. Much nicer cars.
And, again, your girls are easier.

Brand name should not be an issue region produced can affect the taste but I don't think it's a huge difference and clarity (light or dark) can make it more or less sweeter, that depends on the season. The brand shouldn't have anything to do with the flavour all maple syrup is supposed to be is boiled down maple tree sap.
As for what I like from the US I can't really think of anything right now I don't really ever go there. I do like White Castle though.

I love the fact that I can visit, have a good time then come back home after. Most of the time I like our rye whisky better but at times nothing goes down better than a good shot of Jack Daniels.

^^
Maple Syrup varies by region because of soil contents (Maple likes a little loam and pete) moisture, and even season to season because extreme cold snaps mean less water.... To be honest, the best stuff I've had is from the valley around here, and I'm not just saying that because I live here either

What I like about Americans:
- Generally decent people and on the whole very accepting (there's a few bad apples, but that happens everywhere)
- Want more or less the same things out of life I do...
- Cheap beer... it's swill.. but cheap beer is decent enough
- Very nice cars... (MR-2 Spyder, GTO, Scion tC.. etc...)
- High valued currency
- Just want to do right in the world, even though it sometimes goes sideways.

GAM, you have to visit Seattle and Portland then...our local microbrews are not swill, at least not compared to most of the brews that america is known for.

One of the things i like about canadians, they like the coolest sport on the face of the planet
