There is other life forms out there other than us! All those sightings people see and hear about are just scouts comming to check on earth to see when we are gonna destroy this planet by pollution, war, violence and stupidity....

There just waiting so they can live here!

I think there is life out there. I just don't know how intelligent or different from us they may be.

i think to understand this u have to look at the BIG BIG PICTURE.. were part of the milky way galaxy ONE GALAXY.. with MILLIONS OF STARS.. thats just one galaxy keep in mind.. imagine the millions of other galaxies and millions of other things out there.. of course theres SOMETHING SOMEWHERE.. has to be.. weather its dinosaurs or the jetsons.. its there

Actually, there is life on mars, it went there with all the lander/rover missions as hitchikers from earth.

The sterillisation methods used on space-bound missions get about 98% of the organisms, the other 2% are usually in areas that cannot be reached, either because it's in micro-fissures in metals, or in an area that will damage mission critical components.

I think we earthlings are the # 1 rated reality show on some alien planet. Millions tune in every week to see what stupid ass stunt we humansare going to try next.

gams close on his guessatment about the number of stars but nasa has recently
released proof that about 95% of suns have plantes orbiting them. if you look up into the sky at night and see all those stars out there just the emence amount would mean
there has to be life out there. now weather we would recognize it may be a different
story. but to say were alone is like saying the earth is actualy flat and were all being lied too.

besides we all ready do have aliens amoung us. just look at michael jackson there is no way hes from earth. why do you think he realy got off? trial by your peers, well
nasa has been searching for life on mars but they haven't found anyone yet.

Semper Fi SAINT. May you rest in peace.

he's like the guy who is to smart for his own good.

His theories are out there... but so far they're proofing just fine...

He's got 2 other books that really make the ideas of a lot of other physicists jive... even if they are at odds:

- The Universe in a nutshell,
- The Theory of Everything.

his imaginary numbers theory kills me

Like... oh.. irrational numbers?

<a href="http://mathforum.org/dr.math/faq/faq.imag.num.html>Imaginary numbers</a> were not Hawking's invention though, I don't think at least. That's more of an elemental mathematical concept.

imagenary numbers are basically hawkins explination to earth being created with no start.

No doubt in my mind that more advanced civilizations have already came and gone.

I beleive there are life forms like bacteria and other extremely small organisms in sol, I beleive there are civilizations both more advanced and less advanced than ours in the Milkey Way. And I would immagine that a wide varity of life exists in the majority of other Galaxies.

Pret: explain?

From the 3 books I've read of Hawking's, he reports more with the big bang theory than anything. I've not yet heard of any creationist leanings, assuming we're talking about the same person.

hawkins is neither a big bang or a creationist

he is an evolutionist by sort. basicaly he believes everything has always exsisted. his imag. numb. theory is kind of hard to explain i'll see if i can find a paraphrased version on the net somewhere for you...

also i don't agree with him on it either.

if anyone is truely open minded and willing to research other scientific arguements about creation here is a good book to read

similar to mine i guess--everything that is was and will be--it's just constantly changing states of existance.

Anyhow, only human arrogance would think that life elsewhere is not possible.

not to get all semantic on everyone..

but we really aren't talking about the possibility of life on other planets...cause until we have looked at every other planet there is always a possibility, we are talking about the PROBABILITY

There are DEFINATELY other 'alien life forms' from other planets out there, and they have been toand still are ON this planet as we type...

Oh, and Jesus as most people understand him DOESN'T nor has ever existed

I have been abducted before by something I don't know what it was nor where they took me and i never communicated with anything either but i NOW know this

Water ice pocket discovered on Mars.

<img src=http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/image/0507/icecrater_marsexpress.jpg>

Explanation: What lies on the floor of this Martian crater? A frozen patch of water ice. The robotic Mars Express spacecraft took the above image in early February. The ice pocket was found in a 35-kilometer wide crater that resides 70 degrees north of the Martian equator. There, sunlight is blocked by the 300-meter tall crater wall from vaporizing the water-ice on the crater floor into the thin Martian atmosphere. The ice pocket may be as deep as 200 meters thick. Frost can be seen around the inner edge on the upper right part of the crater, while part of the lower left crater wall is bathed in sunlight. The existence of water-ice pockets inside craters near the Martian North Pole, like that pictured above and others noted previously, give clues not only about surface conditions in the Martian past but also possible places where future water-based astronauts might do well to land.

Where there is water there must be...

not necessarily. there's water vapor in Jupiter's upper atmostphere but no signs of life...yet.

because the conditions are ina given configuration doesn't mean that a result of the configuration will happen. There may or may not be a catalyst.
