I usually know if my friends are gay of not. My gaydar is generally pretty reliable. I don't care if my friends are. That's not what attracted me to them (friend wise) in the first place. It wasn't even a deciding factor even.
Here's a summary of my last friend Outing himself to me.

i have absolutly no problem with gay people whatsoever!! if a friend did that to me i would still be friends with him/her. however i do have standerds that being i dont want it thrown in my face if you wanna do whatever in your bedroom thats fine dont flaunt it i say . but then again im not much of a pda person either.
however i do have a proble with very flamboyant men. for some reason it annoys the hell out of me !!! limp wrists , talking with a heavy lisp just all around announcing your gay just doesnt fly with me. not that is gonna withhold a friendship but i would probably knock on them till they said something or vice versa.
I wouldnt drop the friendship or nething, but i would probably rag on them for a while for being gay... Its always a good comeback

i wouldnt really call it a good come back at all , more like your trying to discourage your friend about a life decission. i would only do it if the friend was ok with it for instance a guy at work is gay and he is really a wonderful guy. he would do anything possible for you he can my grandfather died and he sent me a card and flowers he also did that for other people in the department! however one day i was talking to him about someone that i called a fag and my face turned ghost white he said to not worry about it that its just a term thats all !
